Coffee "date"

"HELLOOOO???" A loud voice yelled from outside Espresso Cookies house. Espresso Cookie knew exactly who it was, and he was not happy.

"Please.. Go away." Espresso Cookie begged, but it's not like the cookie outside could hear him.

"Ha Ha Ha! I know you can hear me, c'mon Espresso Cookie~" The Cookie continued to be an annoyance towards Espresso. But Espresso Cookie still didn't go Outside, he didn't even care to make the cookie feel acknowledged.

"ESPRESSO!~ I know your in there, I already checked your laboratory!" The cookie was persistently yelling at Espresso Cookie. Espresso Cookie thought it was a bit funny that the Cookie had been looking for him for so long.

Espresso Cookie finally got up and yelled outside, from his window, "Go away!"

"Aha! I knew you were in there, now get out here!" Madeleine Cookie confidently smiled at Espresso.

"No." Espresso Cookie blatantly responded and closed his window.

"Hmph." Madeleine Cookie grunted in defeat, that was until he thought of an idea.

"Geuss I'll go get some Coffee by myself!" Madeleine Cookie said loud enough for Espresso Cookie to hear. He knew Espresso Cookie could hear him because Madeleine Cookie heard him open his window again.

"Are you really getting Coffee?" Espresso Asked.

"Yeah, but you obviously don't wanna come with.." Madeleine Cookie said. Espresso Cookie scoffed and closed his window, but then he went and opened his front door. Madeleine Cookie looked at Espresso Cookie with a proud smile.

"Don't look at me like that." Espresso Demanded but Madeleine Cookie didn't listen.

"Don't worry, you'll learn to love this face." Madeleine Cookie said as he winked at Espresso. Espresso Cookie was unfazed and didnt respond to Madeleine Cookies prideful remark, making it awkward between the two.

"Anyways.. follow me, to the Coffee Shop we go!" Madeleine Cookie said, breaking the awkward silence.

The two Cookies started walking to the Shop, every time they passed other cookies, they would look at them in confusion probably wondering why the two were hanging out together. And after a few minutes of walking, and many Cookie stares, they made it to the Coffee Shop. When they walked in an employee looked up and their face lit up, Madeleine Cookie thought the employee was surprised to see him but then the employee said,

"Espresso Cookie!" The Employee smiled at Espresso and Espresso smiled back.

"Hello there, how has your practice been going?" Espresso Cookie walked to the counter that the employee was behind. Espresso Cookie and the employee talked about coffee, magic, coffee magic, school and a bunch of stuff that Madeleine Cookie couldn't say anything about. Finally the Employee noticed Madeleine Cookie.

"Um.. Who's that?" They asked and pointed at Madeleine Cookie. Espresso Cookie looked at him and rolled his eyes.

"That's Madeleine Cookie. He's nothing special.. just a basic and annoying Paladin." Espresso Cookie said.

"Hm? Actually I'm the Knight Commander!" Madeleine Cookie remarked.

"Wow, really?" The Employee asked.

"Yup! And me and Espresso Cookie are good friends!" Madeline Cookie said, oblivious to Espresso Cookies hatred towards him.

"I thought you hated Light Magic though, Espresso Cookie?" The employee asked with a puzzled look.

"I do, but Madeleine Cookie is to oblivious to realize that, even though I tell him it all the time." Espresso said.

"Ha, okay Espresso Cookie.." Madeleine Cookie said, giving Espresso Cookie a cocky smile.

"Uhm.. Okay anyway, what can I get for you, Knight Commander? I already know what Espresso Cookie wants cause he's a regular but what will it be for you?" The employee asked with a smile.

"Err.. Give me what Espresso Cookie is having!" Madeleine Cookie said, sounding confident but Espresso Cookie knew Madeleine Cookies confidence would be ruined when he tasted how bitter his usual coffee is.

After ordering, Madeleine Cookie and Espresso Cookie sat down on a table outside, then after a few minutes the employee came out with their coffee's. "Enjoy!" They said before going back inside.

"Madeleine Cookie, I wanna see you try the coffee." Espresso Cookie said with a faint smile on his face.

"Is that a challenge? Ha Ha! I can take a bit of coffee, Espresso Cookie." Madeleine Cookie said, his words were over oozing with confidence but as soon as Madeleine Cookie took a sip of the coffee he almost spit it out, Espresso Cookies response to this was a genuine small laugh.

"So, how is it?" Espresso Cookie asked sarcastically with a smile.

"Uh.. Delicious!" Madeleine Cookie said, his words now drained of the confidence they were once over filling with.

"That's nice." Espresso said as he drank his coffee, he enjoyed the bitter taste and could tell Madeleine Cookie was not used to it.

After a while Madeleine Cookie managed to finish his coffee but it was sure difficult for him. Espresso then tipped the Employee for their wonderful service and the Bitter Coffee Connoisseur and Light Knight Commander left the coffee shop, they didn't spend the rest of the day tomorrow but Madeleine Cookie could only dream of a alternative universe where that was the case.
