It was finally Friday, and for the first time, Nellie wasn't happy. She didn't want to go to Gia party but she felt like a bad friend if she didn't go.

"So I was thinking I should wear a pink dress." The three girls were walking to their homes.

"I think you'll look great." Cody said as he was trying to walk between Gia and Nellie.

Nellie rolled her eyes. "God, I forgot you were here." Nellie pushed her brother, making him walk in front of the three girls.

"Don't touch the hair! Girls dig it." The brunette boy tried to fix his hair.

"What, girls! Other than mom, I've never seen you talk to girls." Nellie said.

Cody started to walk backward so he could face his sister. "I've talked to your friends, and they love me, especially Ophelia." Nellie rolled her eyes again.

"Who's Ophelia?" The girl with the skateboard asked?

"A really old friend. Anyways, what are you going to wear?" Nellie said, trying to change the topic.

The tall girl shrugged. "Probably..." the girl thought for a little. "Whatever I find."

"Don't you want to look good for Vivian?" Gia said with a smirk.

"Ooooh, who's Vivian?" Cody gave Brynn a smirk.

Brynn quickly messed up the young boys hair. The four stopped walking. "Oh, look, we're home." Nellie looked at her friends. "I'll call you guys later." The two nodded and said their goodbyes.

The thirteen year old girl laid on her bed calling her friends. "So how's school?"

"It's shitty without you! My grades are going down without you here." Nellie let out a little laugh. "It's not funny! You have to fly back here."

"You're joking, right? You really want me to fly back there to just help you with your homework." Nellie keeps forgetting she was the smart one in the group. She wasn't the only smart one, but she was the smartest.

"Yes." Nellie laughed to herself, knowing that she wasn't joking.

"It's so sad that you're not joking." Shawn said. "I even tried to help her, but she just ended up screaming at me for not knowing how to do it."
