The sound of my feet slapping the wet dirt beneath me is almost euphoric, almost as much as the feeling that flies through me as I run through the forest, laughing gasps exiting my lips every few seconds.
Jason runs behind me, chasing me with his laughter echoing around us.
"Do you really think you're going to get away from me, Kitten?"
I don't answer and I refuse to look back as my hand slaps against the bulk of a tree, propelling me forward.
It feels like we're in our own little world here on the island, nothing and no one to interrupt the peace we've found ourselves drowning in.
I chance a glance back even as my mind screams at me not to and it's a mistake that costs me the distance between us.
Jason's arms swoops around my waist, catching me swiftly but the movement shocks me, and I slip on the wet dirt, both of us beginning the fall to the ground.
Jason twists us, moving so he takes the brunt of the impact while I land with a soft thump on top of him.
I look down, blinking the water from my eyes, watching as he breathes harshly, hands moving to squeeze my waist.
"You're a fast runner, kitten."
I slap his chest, "I almost beat you." I mutter and move to get up, but instead stop and straddle his waist instead.
His hands fall to my hips, pulling me down so I'm nestled further into his lap, feeling the bulge beneath me rise to attention.
I'm raise a brow at Jason but he only shrugs, unrepentant.l and his hands on my hips move to my ass, squeezing.
"You're insatiable." I grumble but I find I'm not better when I grind down on his crotch.
"Only for you, Arden." He whispers, finger tightening on the globes of my ass as if in response to my rocking hips, his words guttural, "only for you."
I roll my hips, giving him a little taste and watch as his head falls back, a deep groan coming up his throat before his hands fall to my thighs, running down them to my knees and stopping before he makes his way back up.
I grin, feeling the taunting look come over my face as I give one last swivel of my hips and then stand, feeling the mud that coats my skin sink in further and look down at Jason from where he lay sprawled on the forest floor.
He's the picture of a caveman, sprawled on the forest floor, long wavy hair splattered to chiselled cheeks. His chest rises and falls with slow breaths, the action stretching the muscles honed to perfection on his chest and my mouth dries up.
His emerald eyes glitter up at me with challenge, eating up the way I stare at him as he stretches further, folding his hands behind his head, allowing my eyes to feast on more thick muscle. "Drink in your fill, Kitten." He groans the words out, his eyes sparkling with lust.
"You look like nobody owns you." I counter.
"You do." He says and my heart thumps faster in my chest. I ignore it and look at his hair, noticing how much it's grown out, and the stubble along his jawline is now very much growing into a full beard.
He looks like every woman's wet dream.
I sigh, and step over him, "C'mon we got to wash all this off before we get sick."
I walk away from him, my brows drawing in as I lift a hand to my chest and rub at the ache there, mind going back to the thought I'd had earlier this morning.
I don't know how to feel about the revelation, that maybe I feel more for Jason then I thought I did.
I'm too lost in my own thought that I don't hear when Jason comes up behind me until I'm thrown over his shoulder and he's running to the lagoon.
