SPIDER SOCIETY

1:58 am

Y/N'S POV

Although entering the portal made me feel a little better, I would prefer for it to have no impact at all. It was largely unoccupied inside the Spider Society. Maybe they were all napping or being involved in their canon events. I sighed and threw my webs at the bare beam before sitting with my legs hanging off. My lips trembled as I knelt on my knees. When I heard Gwen's voice, I could feel the tears starting to form but quickly brushed them away and stood up. She quickly shot webs to make her way up and gave me a quick glance up.

"Hey y/n, how are things?" She questioned as she sat down next to me and placed her hand on my back. I appreciated her concern for me.

"Yeah... uh, how do you know your canon event had happened?" I said, trying to make sense of everything.

"Well, it will probably help you develop personally or, more specifically, as Glass Spider. In addition, if your universe doesn't end. Why, exactly, are you asking?" She looked me in the eye and nodded before hugging me. We continued in this manner for a while, and I enjoyed it. "I'm so sorry, y/n, I promise, things will improve." She gave me comfort and released our hug.

She gets up and swings away, and I say, "I'll be here for a bit if you wanna come back. I had no idea if she had heard me. I leaned against a wall, shut my eyes, and drifted to sleep.

SPIDER SOCIETY

6:14 am

Y/N'S POV

Many Spider-people's chatting, footsteps, and laughter awakened me. They all appeared to be having fun. I took a few steps back and looked around before wiping my eyes. How many horrible situations did each Spider-person have to deal with given the sheer number of them? When I heard a faintly glitchy voice, I looked back up before turning to my watch.

"I need you two, y/n and Gwen, to come over to my office." a recognizable voice said. Even though I don't want to face him right now, I suppose it wouldn't be that horrible if Gwen was present. I jumped from the beam and sent my silver-colored webs toward Miguel's workplace. Gliding through a large empty space was enjoyable. I landed promptly and noticed that Gwen wasn't here, yet at least.

"Where is Gwen?" Miguel asked, his voice harsh. Was it harsher than before?

"I don't know, go find her yourself dips**t." That is what I said in my mind, but I was too tired and sad to deal with any more problems today. I simply shrugged.

"Well, go find her." He said, his voice demanding. He took a second before getting up quickly, the office chair rolling back behind him. "Are you alright y/n?" He asked, his head slightly tilting to the side. Miguel took a step forward toward me, yet I kept my distance by taking a step back as he did so. His eyes narrowed and he stopped. "I asked a question, so answer it." He clenched his fists slightly. If this is his way of showing concern it sucks.

"Um, I'm fine..I'll go look for Gwen now." I said, shaking my head as I exited the office, swinging with my web, scanning the Spider Society for Gwen.

I spotted Gwen and smiled softly, making my way down to her. "Hey Gwen, Miguel wants you to his office, and don't worry, I'll be there too," I told her, looking at the different Spider-People she was talking to.

"Maybe a mission, who knows." She shrugged, swinging to the office. I quickly followed her, my spider-suit flushing colors, now in an invisible state. I stood in the office with Miguel and Gwen, trying to fix my suit, I was making more than a little noise, so they knew I was there.

"Not funny y/n," Miguel said blandly, crossing his arms, and looking at the direction I was in. His tall figure towered over me and Gwen.

"It is funny, but also I can't help it right now," I mentioned, continuing to try helplessly to fix it. I could feel Miguel's cold stare slightly soften, yet not much. Gwen just stood there awkwardly.

"Take it off then." Miguel's voice was serious, and Gwen continued to stand, chuckling nervously.

I choked on my spit when Miguel said that so suddenly. I looked up at him, his eyes slightly wide, realizing his choice of words. "EXCUSSEEEE ME?" I shouted, crossing my arms back at him, not like he could see it.

Miguel cleared his throat, beginning to talk once more. "I mean..change back home quickly, you have another suit, no?" He asked, shifting his position, and continuing to stare at me. Before I could reply my suit began to become visible. Now not only Gwen was standing awkwardly, but the three of us.

"Um, so why did you call us here?" I asked, trying to get rid of the tension, not making contact with anyone.

"Oh, yes.. There is an anomaly in Universe.." Miguel paused, turning back to his many screens, checking them thoroughly before continuing, "In Universe 8563, it's a stronger version of the Green Goblin, so you two be careful." Miguel said, looking me up and down with a slight squint of the eyes.

"Well then, Gwen and I should get going, hm?" I spoke, turning to Gwen who was already ready to leave. She nodded and opened a portal, and the two of us entered.
