Once upon a time, a legend whispered through the skies, weaving a tale of hope and dreams, entwining the delicate balance between peace and war.
This legend was known as the Legend of the Cardinal Heroes.
For countless centuries, the world flourished in harmony, free from the ravages of war.
All nations stood united, discrimination unheard of, and the bonds between its people unbreakable.
However, a fateful day arrived when the Waves of Calamity surged forth.
These destructive waves brought chaos and shattered the delicate equilibrium of the world.
The once serene skies turned crimson with terror, while the land quivered in fear.
As the world teetered on the brink of oblivion, its very existence hung by a thread.
Amidst the despair, a glimmer of hope emerged.
Four heroes, hailing from diverse realms, were summoned to defend the crumbling land on the edge of the world.
A skilled swordsman, a masterful archer, a formidable lancer, and a stalwart shielder.
Armed with their respective legendary weapons, known as the Cardinal Weapons, these four heroes joined forces, knowing they alone possessed the power to combat the relentless onslaught of the Waves of Calamity and banish the malevolent forces behind them.
Only through their united front could balance be restored, and the world saved from impending destruction.
In the present day, within the kingdom of Melromarc, the country remains resilient in the face of adversity.
However, the Shield Hero, no matter how noble, will always be unjustly deemed useless, further exacerbating the dire situation.
As the waves grow increasingly formidable, it becomes evident that their strength surpasses anything encountered before.

"Hmm..."
I was dropping by Hyrule's grand royal library seeking a moment of respite with a neat book.
My name is Lillia, I hold the position of Champion, and I'm appointed as the royal knight to Princess Iris Hyrule. I had been chosen to wield the legendary sword that seals the darkness, the Master Sword.
I have fought in many wars against the monsters before, and I have slayed Calamity Ganon, the Hatred and Malice incarnate.
Throughout my childhood, I displayed exceptional skill in swordplay, surpassing even adults, despite being a girl. I was a prodigy to others, a "Genius", as they would say. This aptitude led me to train myself to become a knight for Hyrule, unknowingly, it had set me on the path to become the bearer of the Master Sword.
In my free time, when I was not busy, I would be accompanying Princess Iris in her studies, helping her in every way I could.
If we were done, we would end up in other experiences we had never encountered before.
But on the occasion where she was occupied, I would go to the library on my own to read books. I was a bookworm, taking the opportunity to read books to expand my knowledge and sharpen my mind.
Well, to begin with, I was the person that played around with a wide array of trivial knowledge.
And that is the reason..
The reason behind the incident that was about to occur.
It was during my visit to the library. I was lurking around the section that dealt with history.
