It all starts many years prior when Hisako Yamada was born.
When she was born she had been born with her quirk.
Her quirk is called Voice. It allows her to modulate the volume of her voice, allowing her to create devastating sonic shockwaves strong enough to render her opponent powerless and blowback anything in her path.
When she was five on her first day of Kindergarten she met Shota Aizawa.
His quirk is called Erasure. It allows him to nullify others' control over their quirks by making eye contact with them. Blinking dispels the effect of his quirk and using it gives him very dry eyes.
The teacher told her to go socialize and the first person she went to was Shota.
"HI! I'M HISAKO YAMADA!! She says loudly.
On instinct he activates his quirk.
"Ooh~! What's your quirk and name‽" She asks excitedly.
He doesn't answer.
"Aww can you not talk?" She frowns.
"... I can. But, I'm trying to keep focus."
She bounces on her toes.
"Ooh! For what‽!"
His concentration breaks and his eyes are dry. He rubs at them to moisten them again.
He sighs. "You wanted to know my name and quirk right?"
"Oh, yes!!"
"Shota Aizawa, Erasure. It lets me erase someone else's quirk. And yours?" He asks. He could probably already guess but he figures that maybe she'll leave him alone afterwards. (A/N: lol you wish.)
"Mine's called Voice! It lets me make my voice louder. I was told that I was born with it. It's hard to control..." She said the last part, a bit sad.
"But, enough about that! When's your birthday!" She asks enthusiastic again.
"November eighth."
"Oh cool! mine's July seventh!"
Shota nods.
"What's your favorite color?"
There was a pause.
"I don't have one." He said simply.
"Comonnnn everyone has a favorite color!" She whines.
He sighs. "Fine, black." He says getting annoyed.
"Let's be friends!" She claimed. "You and me, are gonna be friends forever!"
"You and I." He corrects.
"Huh?" She asks, confused.
"It's you and I. Not you and me." He says plainly.
"Ok! But still we're best friends now! No take backs!" She says excitedly.
"I really don't have a choice do I?"
"Nope!" She grins.
He blushes a little but it left as quickly as it came. "Fine..."
"YAAAAY!!" She yelled, mistakenly activating her quirk.
He activates his quickly too, while covering his ears.
The teacher came over.
"Hisako, could you be careful not to use your quirk?" She asked.
Hisako looked sad.
