_______________________________________It wasn't until the sun rose and the bees came out to pollinate that your roommate returned from their village errands. You weakly called out for them, barely able to blink in fear the Enderman would come back. The sound of footsteps echoed down the hall and you looked up at your roomate with tired eyes. Your friend halted, noticing your stiff figure sitting against the wall.
"(Y/N)? Why are you up so early? Are you feeling all right?" they asked gently while squatting down to your level.
You shook your head and looked out the window, "Last night... I woke up last night to a monster in my room."
Pausing for a moment, your friend glanced around the vicinity, "What mob? Did you get hurt?"
Silently you stood up, walking towards your window and placing both hands against the smooth glass. Your palms felt the slight heat from outside.
"An Enderman." you replied.
Walking behind you, your friend became frantic, "What? What do you mean 'an Endmerman'? One was here in your room?!"
You nodded and sat down on your bed, "Yea, I just woke up and saw it staring at me. I didn't even get a chance to properly see it- (F/N), it stared at me. What am I going to do?"
It was obvious your friend had no clue how to help. After all, everyone knew that if you looked at one of those tall, slender monsters then they wouldn't stop hunting you until you were either dead or it was dead. You'd most likely be living your life in fear for the next weeks, possibly months.
"Y'know, someone I knew before I met you had the same problem. I wasn't close with them or anything, but they didn't even end up seeing the Enderman they looked at for months after." your roommate spoke.
You rubbed your eyes, "Really?"
"Yea, and then they allegedly died a few weeks later in their house."
Standing up, you ruffled your hair irritatingly, "What?! Is that what's gonna happen to me? I'm gonna die?!"
Your friend waved their hands in a quick manner, "Of course not! That person lived in a cave anyways! They could've died from anything. How about we eat something to calm your nerves?"
Silently you agreed, letting your friend guide you to the kitchen and sit you down in a chair. They walked to a particular chest and pulled out some berries and bread, returning to your seat and handing them over.
Saying a quiet thanks, you dug in, not realizing how hungry you were from staying up all night. The soft bread went almost perfectly with the sweet berries, and you finished the food in a matter of minutes.Your roommate turned to face you, "So, how are we gonna fix this? What do we have to do to make you feel better?"
Sighing, your hands held your head on the table, "I don't know. I could try sleeping with a bucket of water nearby. If it comes back I could soak it- make the bitch burn."
"Sounds like you'll be waiting for it, and chances are it won't be back so soon. Why don't we just install carpet to get your room under the three block height limit? Then it won't be able to fit." your friend suggested.
