Within his heart, conflicting emotions reside,
Her brightness clashed with his darkness, side by side,
He wove a facade, acting cold and unkind,
To shield his love, a secret entwined,
His every harsh word was tinged with guilt,
His love for her, a fire he couldn't wilt.
