Next day

Your morning was pretty good thanks to the maids. You didn't have to do any chores today. You sat down on the dining table as the maid served breakfast.

"Thanks" you said to them and slightly bowed to show respect. "Good morning y/nie" you heard Jungkook saying while coming down the stairs.

He sat down beside you and passed his bunny smile. "Good morning koo, you seem to be in a good mood" you said and chuckled while serving food for him.

"Nothing special" he replied and was about to eat when he heard someone whining. "Taetae let's eat together-" aera was whining while clinging onto taehyung's arm, dragging him to the table.

"Aera, leave me alone for fucks sake" he groaned and closed his eyes to keep his calm.

"I won't, you are eating with me and that final" she said and turned to look at you and jungkook who were looking at the scene with a disgusted expression on their faces.

Taehyung noticed the sudden silence and opened his eyes to see that you and Jungkook were already having breakfast together.

"y/n...." he spoke but paused to see no reaction from you. "Eat or leave" you sternly said and put on a poker face.

Taehyung felt hurt by your cold behaviour, he sat in front of you while Aera sat beside him. "It all looks so good, I don't know what you guys were eating before the maids came. Finally having delicious food after weeks" aera said and rolled her eyes at you.

You understood what she meant but didn't say anything and ignored her existence. The awkward silence took over the room as no one dared to utter a word.

"I will eat in my room" you said and abruptly stood up "wait, i will come with you" jungkook said and took his plate too while following you.

In your room

You sat on your bed as Jungkook sat in front of you while looking at you with worried eyes. "Something is bothering you, tell me what it is. I may not be able to help much but I can listen" he said and gently held your hand.

"Don't worry koo i am fine" you replied and gave him a reassuring smile.

"I know you are not, y/n i understand that things have changed since the day Taehyung bought you. Every day a new mystery gets revealed but trust me it will all be over soon. This is not forever, things won't be like this forever" he said as you looked at him,

tears welled up in your eyes as you remembered the time someone tortured you and aera humiliated you in the basement because of a so called file.

"Please love dont cry, tell me what is wrong" he said and moved closer to you. He placed your head on his chest and enfluged you in his embrace.

"I am fine don't worry, I will tell you when it's time" you replied and relaxed in his embrace. You could hear his rhythmic heartbeat, his hands were wrapped around your shoulder as his one hand caressed your hair.

The room was filled with silence, but it didn't feel uncomfortable, you could feel the comfort and warmth after so long.

"You tell me about yourself, are you and tae fine now?" you asked breaking the silence as he lazily smiled and thought before replying

"I wont say fine but we definitely don't feel like killing each other. We are just cooperating with each other till everything is sorted, my mind is like a puzzle. I am trying hard to solve it but I can't find some missing pieces" he replied and took a deep breath.
