Betrayal

The One and Only Chapter

Eijirou let out a tired sigh as he shuffled down the dorm hallway. The area was practically abandoned as the sun set, with every door closed. It had been a long and tiresome day at Fatgum's agency, and all the redhead wanted to do was to visit his boyfriend and cuddle until the two of them were fast asleep. He and the ash blonde had been dating for quite some time, and their anniversary was coming up in a few days. Perhaps if the two of them weren't working in their respective agencies, they could go out on a date to celebrate their milestone. He knew that he and Katsuki hadn't seen each other for a while, only making small talk with one another during class time, but it would be a pleasant surprise to come to visit!

As he finally approached Katsuki's dorm, the ash blonde's name etched into a golden plate screwed into the door, he stuffed a hand into his pocket. He rummaged for a second and pulled out a small set of keys. The letters 'K' and 'E' were written with a black Sharpie to tell which key was which. It was Katsuki's idea to get their keys duplicated so that if either one wanted to enter the other's dorm, they wouldn't have to wake up or get them to open it. He inserted the key into the lock, gently turning it. The last time he checked, the time was eight pm, and Katsuki usually was in bed by eight thirty-two. So, if he was lucky, maybe he could get thirty minutes!

However, as he creaked the door open to enter Katsuki's room, a large, toothy grin plastered on his face, he froze.

Sitting on Katsuki's bed was Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki, and Eijirou's classmate.

And they were kissing.

Eijirou's eyes grew wide, the grin on his face disappearing within seconds. He had to have been seeing things, right? Katsuki wouldn't kiss another man. He loved Eijirou! The tense silence was interrupted by the green-haired male, whose eyes opened slightly before widening at the sight of the redhead. He quickly pushed the ash blonde off him, nearly kicking him off the bed.

"Ow!" Katsuki snarled as he wiped his mouth. "What the hell was that for, babe?!"

"Eijirou!" Izuku exclaimed, making the vibrant, red-eyed male freeze. He slowly turned his head, almost as if he didn't want to believe that Eijirou was there. Tears threatened to spill from his eyes, and his hands clenched into fists, his quirk inadvertently taking hardening his hands.

"H-Hi, EIjirou," Katsuki stammered as he rose from his bed. "You're back from Fatgum's early, aren't you supposed to be off at nine?"

"I was, but I arrived early to pick up some extra hours. I told you that, didn't I?" He turned on his heels. "Sorry for interrupting. You can go back to him." He began to walk away. The redhead could hear quiet curses from under Katsuki's breath as the angry male told Izuku to wait in his dorm.

"Baby, wait up!" Katsuki called out, his loud footsteps booming in the hallway. He reached out to grab the redhead's shoulder, only for Eijirou to slap it away.

"Don't fucking touch me!" Eijirou growled.

"It wasn't what you thought it was!" Katsuki blurted out. Eijirou spun back around, an angry scowl coating his face. Katsuki shrunk back slightly, for he never saw the redhead this angry.

"That wasn't what I thought it was?!" Eijirou snarled as he stepped closer to Katsuki, who instinctively stepped back. "I saw you two on the bed kissing! What could you say that would make me think you're not cheating?!"

Katsuki remained silent, which gave Eijirou all the answers he needed.

"How long." Eijirou quietly asked, his voice cracking slightly. "How long have you been cheating on me? "

"I. . . " Katsuki trailed off, almost as if he didn't want to answer. "Six months. . ."

"SIX MONTHS?!" Eijirou unintentionally shouted. "YOU'VE BEEN CHEATING ON ME FOR SIX MONTHS?!"

"It was a mistake, I swear!" Katsuki pleaded as he reached out for Eijirou's hand. "Come back to my dorm, and we can discuss this!"

"I don't want to talk!" EIjirou shouted again as the tears in his eyes spilled down his cheeks. "I loved you, Katsuki! I loved you with every fiber of my being, and you go and do this?!" His voice broke again as he wiped his eyes. He tossed his key to Katsuki, the ring hitting the ash blonde in the chest. "We're through."

And with that, the redhead stormed away. The muffled pleas from Katsuki echoed, but Eijirou refused to pay them any mind. He sniffled as he made his way to his dorm, the tears in his eyes blurring his vision as he tried to insert his key. When he did, he rushed inside, letting free of all his emotions. He wept bitterly as his knees buckled, sending him to the ground. Why would Katsuki do such a thing? He thought that Katsuki loved him! Was he really that oblivious?

He buried his face into his hands.

That day, Eijirou's heart shattered, and it seemed like there was nothing anybody could do to put it back together.
