I push my covers out from over me and shuffle out of bed as mother calls me downstairs. Looking at the packed bags stacked around my room that looks like I'm moving away. Which I technically am.

"I made breakfast. Eat up and then the chauffeur will pick you up" mother says as she walks out the door slamming it behind her.

I sigh and eat the waffles she has prepared and then go to my bathroom to get ready. She's acting like nothing wrong. She's sending me to a school across the world for gods sake.

Once I'm ready I start hauling my luggage down to the foyer and wait for Ben to arrive. I see the black limousine pull in the roundabout and I head outside.

"Morning Mrs Wilde"

"Ben, it's Ella. I'm not all stuck up like my mother to the point I demand to be respected by anyone who crosses my path" I say holding the door for him as he gets my luggage and he lets out a small laugh.

"Are you ready to be at Lakeston, Ella?"

"Hell no. I don't even understand why she's sending me to that hell hole to begging with. Just another reason to not have to look at her disgrace of a child I guess"

Ben hums a response because we both know my reason is true. Mother hates me. Hence the reason I call her mother and not mom like every other kid does. Ever since dad died she takes it all out on me. Hates my guts because I'm a splitting image of him and remind her of him everyday while she sashays around with her arm around another man.

The drive to Lakeston is long but peaceful. Ben pulls out my secret stash of smokes he keeps in the limo for me and lights one up for me. I look out the window and exhale the clouds of smoke as The Arctic Monkeys play in the background.

Somewhere along the way I feel asleep after I smoked because I wake up to iron gates withholding a massive school. Even I can't deny. This school is beautiful, but that doesn't mean the people or things inside of it will be.

Ben unloads my bags as a pudgy girl in a knee length skirt and a button up approaches me.

"You must be the new girl. I'm Olivia. The school ambassador." She sounds like she would rather be anywhere but here.

"Hi I'm Ella. Nice to meet you"

"Yea yea. Look I'm just here to show you around. I'm not your friend, and don't think you can talk to me whenever you want." I stare at her in confusion because I really don't know how to respond.

"Now if you'll follow me we will begin the tour of the academy" I nod curtly and follow her looking back once at Ben to see if he heard the audacity of this girl and to see that all my luggage is out.

Olivia rushes through the tour that tells me close to nothing about where any of my classes are. And I feel a wave of relief flow through me as she ends off the tour to what she says is my dorm. I watch as she walks down the hallway and around the corner. I relax my body, ready for some peace and quiet.

That is until I open the door and am immediately greeted with squeals and hugs. I push the girl lightly off of me, " Sorry, not big on the whole love and affection stuff." I offer a polite smile to try to keep her from the feeling of rejection.

"Oh that's okay. I'm just so excited to not be alone anymore. We share this common area and then our rooms split off on opposite sides of the living area.

"Ok sounds great" I smile and go to the room she points at that's mine. I unpack and lay down in the full sized bed. Definitely not as comfy as my old bed but it'll make do until I can get a better one.

"You can buy new furniture and decorate in here however you like. This is just the new student set up the school provides." I look to my door to see the girl.

Wavy brown hair that goes down just below her shoulders and jade eyes that made appearance absolutely stunning. I smile and thank her as I sit and scroll on my phone on the couch.

Hours go by, us discussing do's and don't. Who to be friends with, who to stay away from. And most important, all the hot guys this academy might offer. We exchange numbers and say goodnight as we both go to our rooms.

After I shower and finish my night time routine, I lay in bed and look out the window at the grounds that seems to go as far as the eyes can see.
