A Book of Poems

Oh My World 🌍

A world,
A wonderful way to begin.
Where leaves draw breath,
And creatures mate freely.
Where the earth supports our very existence,
An insignificantly binding reality.
Where water flows in every living thing,
A connection inseparable.
Where the wind blows gallantly,
Through every corner of people's existence.
And within it's people, a fire burns,
Warming every man, lighting every dream,
Igniting passion, creating purpose.

This world, this structured heap of matter,
This world within worlds,
This world of worlds.
The world we see being what we live.
The world of our thoughts becoming our realities.
The world of existing at a different place in time.
The world of communion with each other.
The world of lovers losing themselves together.
The world of various spheres of our lives,
Financial or otherwise.
This world of earth and dust.

This fine fine world,
Whose grandness is toyed at by the great universe,
A reminder of the subtle humility expected of us.
A world of teaching.
A sea of knowledge,
Gasps of wisdom.
A collection of views over valleys,
With uniquely colored sunsets everywhere.
Filled by a people to warm each other,
At heart, body, mind and soul,
To nature more to grow,
Still, into this world.
An endless living of life.
A world eternal.

This world is everything and nothing.
We live, we love, we dance and laugh,
Knowing who we are in this flowing existence,
Living as different people in each world,
Hopefully blessed with good health,
And a love to partake.

We are chosen, bestowed, empowered, recreated.
We belong to this existence, to this world,
A perfect fit.
We weave the fabric of these worlds,
Each with his needle of life's existence,
Doing something vital for existence of the next,
Still, with humbling differences in strata.
Should he be aware which of his worlds will remain,
A man will live well his numbered days.

In her goodness,
Guided by a wisdom,
It is truth,
That the purpose of life is to be lived.
Nothing more.
