Oh what it is to love a man!
Should he come home tired,
A bowl of fruits await him,
A warm cup of tea on a cold day,
Perhaps with a snack or two,
While he awaits his supper.

On any day,
He is welcomed by a hug by the door,
A kiss by the cheek in the morning,
That he should know he is loved,
Relyed on and believed in.

Should his days be long,
And he's feet ache from hard walks,
Some pampering of the toes he should receive.
If thoughts of work overbear his mind,
A hearty conversation ought to make him laugh.
And should thoughts cause him to worry,
He'll have a massage on his neck and temple.
In his comfort should he forget himself,
In his sleep he'll find himself covered,
Only waking half up for a stroll to bed.

Nevermind what kind of day she's had,
She should always be happy,
Never some stress to him,
Because then she'd have changed,
While he wants things to stay the same.

A wife wakes to his concerns,
Wonders if he's had lunch,
Wants him looking nice and crisp,
Praises him when in doubt,
Comforts him when in pain,
Loves him with the changing weather.

Should he need to confess a truth,
She will be judge and jury,
Mostly ruling in his favor,
If he is truly honest with himself.

Oh what it is to love a man who does not love you.
Days of pain he never meant,
Nights of agony he'll never know.

It's easy with women.
Love them undoubtedly.
They will love you and respect you,
All the days of your life.
