Brightkit's wish

When the two shecats padded into camp they undid they're tails and lowered they're heads. Heads raised at the sight of them and confused murmurs floated around. Sagepaw let her tail fall between her legs in shame. Brightpaw nudged her and led her to crimsonstar. "What are you two doing back so early? I thought Hawkflight and Darkcloud were training you two?" Sagepaw sighed, realizing she had to answer. "I was disrespecting them, I'm sorry Crimsonstar. Don't punish Brightpaw, she didn't do anything." Brightpaw blushed as her best friend took the blame for her but the leader nodded. "Sagepaw, you will now hunt for the apprentices as well as the rest of the clan. Only for a moon, but, i think you'll do fine. You're a fantastic hunter." She nodded. "As for you Brightpaw. Stay in camp, its too late for you to train now." She nodded disappointed. Sagepaw nudged her friend and they padded away. Crimsonstars eyes followed Brightpaw before he padded away to the medicine cats den.
He had been acting really strange around her lately. Brightpaw frowned as she sat at the fresh kill pile. She took a vole, glancing around. She began to eat as Sagepaw went out to hunt for her punishment. (crimsonstar time)
Crimsonstar stuck his head into the medicine cats den. "Echofrost, where's Honeypaw?" Echofrost's voice sounded from the back of the cave-like den, "Gathering moss for the den, why?" Crimsonstar padded in as the white medicine cat padded out. "Cause we need to talk." She twitched her ears. "About... Brightpaw..?" He nodded and the two cats sat.
"Has anything else been reveled about the prophecy?" Crimsonstar asked. The medicine cat shakes her head, "sadly not, Crimsonstar." He shamed his paw on the ground, "foxdung! We have to figure this out. What was it again?" Echofrost stated the words, her voice smooth like silk. "The one whose voice is shortened shall step forward to raise her voice and defeat all, the evil and the good. even the one she loves most."
Crimsonstar sighed. "Its so simple.... Yet so complicated..." Echofrost nodded, yet she was confused how it could be both. She never disobeyed him. They were as close as littler-mates. Crimsonstar saved her life. She, owed him, so, she knew not to disagree unless needed to. Crimsonstar huffed as he stood up, "let me know if you have any dreams or signs." She nodded, "keep an eye on her!." and he went out and she went back to work.

Brightpaw finished her meal and went to the nursery, just to take a look at the new queen. Poppyfur was expecting kits any day now. Brightpaw had saw it coming. She saw how close Poppyfur and Cinderwing were. Poppyfur greeted Brightpaw with a soft meow, "Greetings, Brightpaw." Brightpaw nodded a salutation as she sat beside the Queen. Her stomach seemed to be getting larger by the day. "I don't mean to be a pain bu i was wondering if you could get me new moss and fresh kill.." Brightpaw smiled and licked the queen's ear before padding out.
"you're too soft, Brightpaw." A familiar voice in her head stopped her in her path. 'Brokenstar...', she thought to herself. A chuckle sounded from her mind as the dark tom padded out from behind some trees. Black blood followed behind his paws as he stepped up to the shecat. "only you could guess.. Your being too soft." 'I'm not being soft. I'm getting an apprentice task done.' She thought as the tom heard her thoughts. "tsk, tsk,tsk. You let the stupid shecat mess up your first training session. So tonight you're gonna work extra hard." He faded and Brightpaw sighed as she ran to collect moss.
She ran back to camp as moss hung in her jaws. Brokenstar was starting to be a bit commanding but, Brightpaw knew she needed his help. Her siblings haven't talked to her in moons. They probably thought she was useless. 'well, I'll show them.. Once I'm training with brokenstar, they'll see how great i can be.' She stormed to camp, the moss dangling from her mouth.
'my mother too' she thought. 'she rejects me.. Ignores me.. As if I'm.. A mistake.' Tears began to flow from get eyes and she slowed down as she walked into camp. Sagepaw had a rabbit in her jaws as she looked over to Brightpaw. Her heart instantly shattered at the sight of her best friend in tears and she dropped the prey, running over.
"What's wrong, Brightpaw?" Her friend had a worried voice. Brightpaw wished she could tell her friend everything but couldn't. She just laid her head on her friends shoulder and sobbed. "Brightpaw.. I have something to tell you."
Brightpaw pulled back. (WARNING: lesbian content, sorry people that hate our kind) "remember how i told you about me being.. Different then the rest of the shecats?" Brightpaw nodded and Sagepaw blushed dark. "well.. I'm in love with a shecat.." Sagepaw mumbled a few last words before doing something Brightpaw wouldn't ever guess. "If loving you is wrong, then i don't wanna be right." Than Sagepaw kissed Brightpaw with all the love she had for her. (yes i know. Cats can't kiss. But get over it)
