just a pretty face

~Chapter One~

I wake up to the ringing in my head only to realize it was the alarm, quietly I turned it off and checked my phone. As soon as i looked at my shattered screen I seen:

amber alert- missing child nearby.

I was used to seeing these as it was the norm for children to run away and be considered missing, but this one caught my attention I clicked it and seen a young girl pop up (too young to have a reason to run away) I stared at the picture for a good minute and half until i decided to get up for my normal routine in the morning. After I left to get to school I would go to my normal place behind the schools library, I took out a book and started reading. about 30 minuets passed by and I headed to class, I passed just about everyone in the 11th grade , them starring at me like I wasn't human ,something out of this world, I was as red as a tomato ,and my breath started getting shorter as I passed more people. Soon i began to start running towards the girls bathroom, I wanted to turn around and get in to my car and go home, if I did that I would never hear the end of it from my family, so I went to the bathroom and managed to calm myself down, then headed back to class. As I walk to class I hear people mumbling about how much of a freak I am so I walked faster,until I ran into my closest and only friend Eva, she had bright blue eyes and long black hair that was always in a hair tie,she was beautiful, she was the only one there when nobody was. I had started to develop a crush on her and I was trying to find the right time to tell but I'm to nervous to tell her. She caught me tearing up, she stopped and asked me if I was okay I lie and said yeah "allergies" and ran off.

After a very long day at school I take a long drive home thinking about what had happened today.Once I got home I run upstairs, ignoring my mothers acknowledgement that I'm home, I slowly get into bed as if I was with Eva I gently touch my legs as the thought of Eva runs through my mind I carefully lift my shirt as I do this I hear the turning of my door knob and quickly move my hands and turn my phone on as if that's what I've been doing the whole time.

My mother walks in and sits next to me on my bed she looks at me with a disappointing stare.

"yes?" I say aggressively

" you didn't say hello I was worried you had a bad day or something went wrong"

"nope everything fine" I say lying through my teeth,

she gets up exiting the conversation and walks out without looking back.

Me and my mother have never gotten along we just never see eye to eye on many things.

A few hours go by and I receive a text message from Eva saying :

Party 7:00 my place?

I quickly answer back and tell my mom ill be going out soon,she says nothing just as usual. I get ready and as Eva shows up she beeps her horn two times and I run out the door and quickly get into her car.
