Hey, this is a really random story that I had to make for English homework so yeah, please read, vote and comment ;)

I had to make a run for it, this was it. All my life I had wanted to run and now this Is my chance. It all started two years ago when my parents separated, my mum met another guy soon after the divorce called Mark. My grades started to fall behind and I started to loose my friends. Of course this made Mark angry. He would threaten to beat or kill me if I didn't listen to him and get straight A's but of course I couldn't with him breathing down my neck. That's when I decided to run.

The road ahead was a ribbon of moonlight, the only sound consisting of the occasional car driving past. I looked up from the old dirt road to see a rusty sign standing right in front of me. I could only make out very little of the sign but I was very sure that it was an 'm' or the "golden arches" as some people call them. McDonald's. Hope flooded through me. Maybe I could stay the night. For the next few kilometres I kept my head up and kept looking straight, just in case I missed the café which I doubt would happen but you never know.

I walked into the car park of McDonald's; only one word could describe how I was feeling. Relieved. Relieved that I had finally found a place to rest and even possibly eat. Relieved that the car park was deserted and not a single soul walked around to ask what I was doing here, running away at such a young age. I wasn't sure what time the café opened but just in case I didn't wake up in time and someone saw me I decided to sleep someplace that no one could find me at. The bin. It looked quite big from where I was standing and I wondered if I could fit as well as a bag full of garbage. Only one way to find out. I clambered in, it was a tight squeeze but I managed to fit. I started to feel sleepy and the last thing that entered my mind before I fell into a deep sleep was the word, hamburger.

I was awoken by the sound of a key unlocking a door. They must be opening McDonald's now. I pushed out the flap of the bin just so I could see what the man was doing. There was a few other people there with the man I guessed to be the manager, the other workers. Once they unlocked the door they all went in and my vision was cut off. I was just about to get up when someone pushed open the flap and dropped in a newspaper. I managed to catch the paper before it fell into the pile of rubbish and started to read. The headline was about a boy who had gone missing. I glanced down at the picture to see me and my family, I was in the paper!
