I was awakened to the cage i was in shacking, other dogs were whimpering, barking and growling . I did not understand what was going on until i heard a mans voice on a micro phone.

Man: Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to are yearly auction!  This year are main focus will be animals. Such as beautiful dogs, cats, rare birds and many others. Now why keep you waiting! The first one is a Golden retriever coat as silky as and soft as blankets and beautiful amber eyes.

the cage continue to shake they threw a blanket over my cage. So dark, i couldn't even see anything but than after a loud /THUD!/ i was on the floor scared and shaken up they released me out of the cage and holding me by the collar i had on. Wait i had on a collar? when did that happened!? well that's the least of my concerns right now..

Man: Bidding will begin at 500.

the crowd stayed silent, i was in relieved..

Man: well if nobody buys this dog we will be eating dog for dinner soon!

Dinner...?  i was no meat dog, i was a family dog who knew how to hunt. But i was going to be cooked?! As they put me into the cage once again

Bidder 1: 1.3k!

Man: Sold! to the man in the leather jacket

At least i wasn't going to be eaten. After awhile the man came back stage to get me, they gave him my leash and we walked off. i thought it was all going to be fine and maybe he could help me find my way home. He put me in his wagon, horses hooves clattered on the stone floor the lights in the street slowly faded the father we went, more stars showed. Beautiful stars. We stopped at a house in a grassy plain an old brown log house with overgrown plants and vines, and a tiny little lantern above the door

Human: Well we are here boy.

he dragged my collar and practically threw me into a stable. And the stench! it smelt disgusting. most people think all dogs love disgusting smells, but where i was raised my human was always wearing perfume so i am not used to stuff that smells like rotten milk. The floor was hay but some was wood, i heard the human unloading the horses into the stables i looked to the side of me, there were more horses. I guess he was a farmer? In the distance i heard a soft neighing. it reminded me of home, the noises of coyotes howling echoed in my head making it impossible to stop listening. i was tired, I'm pain from the cage that left blisters on my paws, riding on the bumpy road. I collapsed onto the floor, listening to the frogs quietly crock in the lake next to me, horses neighing slowly faded away as i fell asleep.
