The prologue is supposed to be the story summary. I couldn't squeeze it into 1250 letters so. Enjoy!

"Finally... You have no idea how long I've been waiting for this." Jay's lips curl cruelly into a humorless smile. "Tell me, Sunghoon. Did the afterlife treat you well? I can assure you we've been living in hell for the past decade."
Sunghoon struggles to wet his dry mouth and form a sentence but all that comes out is a confused whimper.
In a flash Jay has him yanked up by his hair and slammed on the withered wall, wringing out a raspy yelp from his unwilling throat. The sound of shackles rattles in his ears and a sharp pain bursts at the back of his head making his vision swim. His legs automatically buckle threatening to give out under him but a cold palm pins his hip in place, clearly intended to leave black and blue bruises for a lifetime.
"Don't faint on me now," Jay snarls in his face, fury bubbling in his dark eyes. Sunghoon can see the glowing red intensifying with the wetness trickling down the back of his head. "You've always had it easy, Park Sunghoon. Fate's been always on your side. Even after you massacred your own pack to play hero. Maacah let you in a peaceful sleep while you left us in shambles." His eyes narrow dangerously. "But no more."
Sunghoon tries to muster his limbs under his will. It is as if his body has forgotten how to. He's like a puppet hanging up by invisible strings. There is no strength in his muscles, no magic tingling his veins. He's bleeding to his death in Jay's arms. The realization strikes him like a silver blade, sending a surge of dread through his veins.
Whatever face he's making seems to quell the flames raging within Jay—if only for a moment. But the brief relief and satisfaction he's been granted in Sunghoon's moment of weakness have caused his eyes to grow with unveiled, raw hunger for more.
"That's right, God* has given another chance to make it right." The hand on his hip moves to lock his jaw in an unforgiving grip and Jay locks him in with the press of his lower body, leaning closer until their faces are mere inches apart. "It might not bring Jungwon back, but it sure as hell will make you pay for what you've done."
Sunghoon growls, helpless to stop him from prying open his mouth.
"Park Solon, from now on you are Blood Bound to this pack. Your existence has reduced to serving as nothing more than a blood source for our survival. And these—" Jay eyes his mouth as he smirks condescendingly, his touch grazing Sunghoon's canines with mock sympathy, "—the only purpose that's left for these is to bite down hard and do best to muffle your cries. "
Notes:
*God (as in Vampire God Maacah)
Hello, thanks for checking this fic out. This is the first time I'm writing something for Enhypen. I'm new to this fandom so I have far too many plot holes to have a good grasp of their storyline. Engenes have many theories and I'm excited to explore more of the possibilities.
I'll try to follow through the original plot if this fic becomes one of my usual long-ass multi-chaptered fics. If not you are welcome to read Steamy Hoonreun smut lmao.
Ps. Jayhoon is so underrated. I love Jaywon to death but Jayhoon (I-land) unit has so much potential and enemies to lovers trope is just so chef's kiss 💋 🤌😭 We need more Jayhoon fics!
