I slammed the car door and briskly made my way to the front porch.

And no, not my front porch.

I heard the click of heels on the pavement behind me and I rolled my eyes.
"Riley. Please be on your best behavior" my mom said sternly.

In order to keep a smart remark from tumbling out of my lips, I looked back to see my father sitting in the car, a faint smile playing on his lips.

He waved, and I waved back before turning around and stopping at the front door.

My mom rang the doorbell, and to my dismay a very handsome Alex Greene opened the door.

"Good morning Alex. Is your mother available?"

I huffed in annoyance at my moms sincere tone and forced myself to meet those stupid green eyes. I took in a small breath, momentarily caught off guard by his moppy dark hair and the light stubble on his chin.

His white v neck t-shirt clung to his chest, revealing a toned abdomen. He wore dark gray sweats that tightened around his—

I gulped, restraining myself from finishing the thought.

I gave him another subtle once over.
He looked like he had just woken up actually, and he looked so good.

Alex smirked at me before looking back to my mother.

Crap. He caught me checking him out.

"Yeah she's here" he said cooly. His voice was still groggy from sleep.

He opened the door wider and motioned for us to come in.

It's not too late to turn back now. I could just say I forgot something in the car and then I could run and hitch hike to Nevada or something.

I nibbled on my bottom lip as I thought of other ways to escape this hell hole.

"Riley?"

My eyes snapped up to meet Alex's.

"W-what"

"Are you going to come in or stand out there all morning?" He chuckles.

My heart rose in my throat. Even the sound of his chuckle gave me shivers.

"Duh I'm coming in. Move" I said evenly as I shoved past him. My mom was already inside talking to Mrs Greene.

I ignored the the burning sensation in my shoulder as I shoved my way past him.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

I groaned as rolled over in my bed.

The smell of lavender and pinewood enveloped my nostrils.

What the heck.

My bed is supposed to smell like lilacs.

I sat up and rubbed the sleep from my eyes.
Then the day before came flashing back to me.

It was so awkward.

After my mom left I just stood in the living room for who knows how long before Alex rudely showed me to the guest room.
Other than dinner, I never stepped foot outside of the room for the rest of the day.

Yes. The entire day.

Now here I am, laying in a bed that's not mine, thinking about a boy who pisses me off.

This time, there was a bang on my door followed by a very loud, unknown male voice.

Yo Greene get up bro! We have to be at the gig in 30 minutes!"

I angrily threw my covers to the side, got off of the bed, and stomped to the door. I swung the door open to find some blonde boy with piercing blue eyes stare at me in shock.

Surprise.

"Look, I am not your bro. I don't even know you. I could care less about your little gig, and I sure as hell do not go by the name Greene" I snapped.

It's too early in the morning for this.

The blonde stared at me in shock, his mouth slightly ajar. He seemed to come out of his shock after a couple seconds, then he looked me up and down, his puzzled expression morphing into a smirk.

Oh hell no.

I'm pretty sure my naked face and my curly black bed hair are not the reason for his amusement.

I looked down and saw my sleeping attire. I'm in nothing but a Beatles cropped tee and black boy short panties.

"Great" I muttered.

"Great indeed" the blonde leaned on the door frame, crossing his arms looking at me with hunger in his eyes.

Before I could get the chance to beat the living hell out of him, I heard another door open down the hall followed by soft footsteps that grew louder as they approached my door.

"Nate what the are you doing in Riley's room?"

'Nate' tore his gaze away from my legs and looked towards Alex.

Alex came around the corner and froze once he saw me.
"Really" he muttered angrily.

"Riley put some clothes on!" He yelled at me while clenching his fists.
He ticked his jaw as his eyes lingered on my legs a little longer than I deemed necessary.

I felt my cheeks heat up in embarrassment. He probably saw the stubble on my poorly shaven legs.

"Whatever" I grumbled. "Just make sure to put a leash on that horn dog of yours" I glared at Nate, who gave me a sheepish smile in return.

Before Alex could say anything, I slammed my door shut.
