He sat on the bathroom floor, his breath shaking. For the past two weeks Talos had felt nothing but sickness and tiredness, so when he went to Soren about it she couldn't help but tease that he might be pregnant. Anxiety coursed through his veins as he waited for the test. He couldn't even tell whether or not he would be happy about this, let alone if Nick would be happy. He jumped out of his skin when he heard the alarm on his phone go off. He sucked in a breath and looked at the test.
Two lines. Positive. He was pregnant with Nick's baby. Tears sprang to his eyes as he tried to steady his breathing, grabbing his phone he immediately called Soren.

She came and held him. Not once when he cried into her arms did she think bad of him, instead she stroked his hair and told him it would be okay. Every now and again she would kiss his hair. Once his breathing had settled she began to speak "Talos, he's not gonna be mad about this" she says in a calming tone. He shoved his face in his hand and shook his head "yes he will... he's gonna leave me then I'll have no one, I can't have no one I need someone" he says with his voice slightly distorted by his hands. Soren sighed and shook her head as pulled him close "you listen here mister, if Nicholas J Fury ever even thinks of leaving you, me, Maria and Carol will personally hunt him down. We won't let you be alone even if you don't have Nick you'll still have us" she says with a calm yet stern tone. Talos always loves how protective she is of him, even after the divorce. He remembers when him and Nick first revealed their relationship and how she had threatened with such a calm tone, if he was to ever break his heart. That was four almost five years ago and now he's pregnant. Once he got himself together Soren left but before she did she told him something.

"Talos, please, for the love of Zorr'Kiri tell him"

He did eventually tell him after numerous buggings from Soren. It had only took her two weeks to convince him. So here he was laying in Nicks arms listening to his heartbeat, while Nick read to him as music played in the background. Goose was curled up on their feet sleeping and gently purring. Nick could tell something was wrong due to the lack of commentary from his boyfriend. He paused and put the book to the side, turning to look at him "something's wrong, I don't want you to lie to me so please tell me what's wrong" he asks in a soothing tone. The sight of Talos swallowing with tears in his eyes panics him as he grabs hold of his boyfriend. Once he was in his arms the tears came loose "I'm pregnant" he sobs out as Nick strokes his back. He freezes as Nicks hand stills against his back, closing his eyes and preparing for the worse. Instead he was greeted by a soft but passionate kiss, his eyes shooting open in surprise. When the two parted a grin grew on Nicks face as he wiped the tears from his cheeks.

"You're... we're having a baby"

Talos nods as a smile slowly appears on his face. The feeling of a hand on the stomach brings a blush to his cheeks, "can't keep blushing when I do this darling because you'll constantly be pink faced" Nick teases as Talos rolls his eyes. He places his hand on top of Nicks and runs his thumb over the top of it. In all of the excitement they had forgotten about Goose sleeping at their feet. That was until they heard a hiss directed towards them, when they turned towards the sound all they could do was laugh at Goose staring in confusion at their hands. Nick pulled goose close with his free hand and while stroking her he pointed at Talos stomach and looked at her "baby" is all he said.

Hearing that word, something switched in Goose as she was now attacking the hand resting on Talos abdomen. Nick pulled his hand away while Talos just laughed at the interaction then placed a hand on his stomach.
Goose caught sight of this and pressed her cheek against the hand immediately starting to purr. As his laughter died down he couldn't help but feeling so calm and safe at the sight of this flerken purring against his hand also the strong gaze of his lover on him. Without a warning Nick leaned down and kissed him as he scratched behind Goose's ear.

The two had waited three months to tell their "family" except for Soren who had already known. They knew that they would have to share the news soon as Goose was becoming a little too clingy and protective. This had obviously started comments from Carol which had almost caused a heart attack for them both. Thankfully they hadn't become suspicious of the increase in baggy clothes Talos would wear. Now that the day had finally come they couldn't help but feel a weight being lifted off there shoulders.

The two were currently sat on a couch at Carol and Maria's house, Nick had a hand stroking Talos' muscle in an attempt to calm him. The group were currently watching a movie together which had stressed Talos even more not wanting to sour the mood. It was mostly quiet apart from a few snide comments here and there from Carol, Monica and G'iah. Once he finally started to relax he felt something sharp hit his abdomen, he hissed in pain and whispered "ow what the fuck" as he placed a hand on his stomach. Nick had heard this and placed his hand over Talos trying to help ease the pain but was soon stricken with anxiety as Kamala asks "Talos, you okay, what's wrong?". The two knew she meant no harm but she was about to get them killed as Talos forced a nod. The kicking was coming to a slow stop until Carol asks "alright what are you two hiding because it's obvious you are at this point", Nick squeezed his hand and gave him a knowing look. He took in a steady breath.

"I'm pregnant"

It was silent until Monica went "pay up Carol" making Carol groan in frustration. Nick was in too much to comprehend what was happening until G'iah told him that  her and Monica made a bet on her dad's situation. Soren looked at Talos "let me guess kicking" she says shuffling towards him, he nods as she places Nicks hand on his stomach and then places her own. Kamala hadn't even reacted being absorbed into the film and Maria just look at them and said "why am I not surprised" only to receive a faux offended look from the two. Talos had noticed that G'iah was staring at his stomach with curiosity, he smiled at his daughter and took her hand to place it on his stomach. He played with a few strands of her hair while watching her closely, his heart melted seeing how gentle she was and how she leaned into his touch. He felt comfort knowing that his baby would be so protected by everyone in this room and the spirits of the women who he hopes his baby will be named after, to honour them.
