Medical Checkup

Chapter 2

"Hmm let's see, next up is Jimin. How are you doing, kid?" the doctor asked while reading Jimin's file that was lying on his desk. The old man was going through their files one by one in order of age, and the hyung line had already passed the man's questions.

"I'm okay" Jimin answered shyly.

"Good to hear. Did you weigh yourself every month like we talked about last time?"

"I did"

The doctor hummed and waited for the boy to continue, but when he didn't, he lifted his head to stop reading so he could look at him. "And? Did you gain some weight?"

"Yes 2kg"

"That's great! Keep eating 3 meals a day along with some snacks, and I'm certain you will keep a healthy weight. Are you experiencing any pains or troubles? Is your knee still bothering you?"

"No, I'm good"

The doctor hummed again and eyed the boy suspiciously. "You aren't much of a talker today, Jimin"

"I'm sorry" Jimin apologized and lowered his head in embarrassment. Hoseok wrapped an arm around the boy's shoulder and decided to help him out "He's a bit nervous about the colonoscopy"

"Ah the first time can always be a little bit scary. But I can promise you that it won't hurt" the doctor said and softened his look when he saw how the usually extrovert boy was suddenly so timid. The man had done hundreds or maybe thousands of colonoscopies during his career, but he knew that it was an examination that most patients were dreaded off and today wasn't going to be any different judging the looks of the three youngest in front of him.

"I want to do some extra tests on your knee and make another ultrasound of your ligaments. I had contact with your physiotherapist last week and he was happy with your progress so far, but I just want to make sure that everything is fine"

Like any other tests and examinations that were planned for today. They were all healthy, but they had more tests in the past couple of years than most patients in the hospital with an actual illness. But yeah, tell that Bighit with their quote 'Better safe than sorry'.

"Okay, so the next one is Taehyung" the doctor continued since he sensed that he wasn't going to get more answers out of Jimin right now. The boy was too worked up at the moment to form sentences with more than 3 words. "I see your skin is looking flawless right now. So I assume the appointment with the dermatologist went well?"

"Yeah it was! The next appointment is scheduled in two months and until then I need to use a cream she prescribed" Taehyung answered while talking fast. The 95-liner was nervous as well, but instead of being shy like Jimin, he started to talk a lot and fast.

"That good to hear. I heard from Jimin's physiotherapist that you had pains in your leg a few months ago?"

"Ah yeah that was two months ago! I hurt my leg during rehearsals so we went to the local doctor who checked it for serious injuries, but thankfully it was only my calf muscles that were hurting so he said to take it easy so that's what I did and now I'm fine" Taehyung rambled, so Namjoon placed a hand on his leg and squeezed it to stop him for a second

"Tae, take a breath in between. The doctor isn't going anywhere" the leader chuckled and then petted the boy's leg again in reassurance. Taehyung smiled softly and looked at the doctor to see if he could answer more questions. The older man smiled as well, and looked at his file again.

"Well, other than that I don't see any other problems. You're a healthy young man!" the man said and closed the map to grab the last one. "And lastly: Jungkook. How are you doing, kid?"
