It was a foggy dark Friday morning, Sparrow started to wake up.
Sparrow was a 20 year old VoidHead who usually wore a grey shirt with a soft green jacket without a zipper with light cloud designs. He had long jeans and black shoes. This morning he woke up in only his shorts and a tank-top, revealing freckles on his shoulders. He yawned, and stretched as he woke up. "What time is it," he said to himself sleepily. He then turned and looked at his clock, it was 6 AM. The sky was foggy, filled with dark clouds and although it wasn't raining much the outside was cold and moist. A few rain drops run down his window, Sparrow then stands up. He sleepily changed his clothes and walked out of his room. He walked down the hall to the stairs, while walking he almost falls, "SHIT-" he whispered loudly as he caught himself. He took a sigh of relief,
And continued walking down the stairs.
He made it to the living room where you could see Louis, a 17 year old boy with curly hair, a purple long sleeve shirt, a light yellow button up in front of it with jeans, sleeping on the rug in front of the television. Sparrow ignored him and walked into the kitchen, he made his way toward the coffee machine. Sparrow was a caffeine addict, he drank over 14 cups of coffee each day. Sparrow then made his coffee at the machine and sat down on a chair near the window, looking outside watching the slow rain lightly tap on the window. Everything was quiet, it was perfect to Sparrow. The silence was something Sparrow looked forward to in the mornings because any other time would be extremely loud. Just then, Donna came downstairs. Donna was a 24 year old woman who wore a red tank top with black ripped jeans and yellow shoes who always wore a red hat with yellow fabric horns on it. Donna then ran over to Sparrow and hugged him from behind, "THERES MY FAVORITE COUSIN!" She yelled. Sparrow drank his coffee with a blank expression on his face, because this happened every morning. "Why are you so gloomy today shortie," Donna asked jokingly. Sparrow was 20 and only 5 and 1/4 ft tall. "Don't call me that, I've told you this a thousand times Don," Sparrow said unfazed. Donna then grabbed a half eaten Dunkin' Donuts bagel and started to eat the rest of it while walking back upstairs. Sparrow sighed as his peace was interrupted by his older cousin who was very loud. Louis yawned as he slowly woke up and looked at the rug he had been laying upon, he turned his head to look at Sparrow who was sitting at the table in the kitchen, coffee in hand. Louis shrugged and got up, he walked over to the kitchen and grabbed a tea cup and a kettle out the cabinets. Louis then started to boil water as he took out a tea bag and put it in his cup waiting for the kettle to sound. Sparrow looked at him, Louis looked back, their eyes locking awkwardly. They were both very awkward and didn't know when to look away, it was a very confusing moment as they prolonged eye contact. The kettle finally whistled, breaking the awkward stare as Louis removed the kettle from the stove and gently pulled the boiling water into the tea cup. He then grabbed a tea spoon and put in creamer, only a small amount, and then stirred it letting the tea bag sit. "Are we having another drinking frenzy tonight?" Said Louis in his lightly squeaky yet medium pitched voice.
Sparrow looked a bit unsure, his head had a slight ache. "Maybe??-" Sparrow said looking unsure. "Well you better find out soon, you can't always let the others do whatever they want," Louis said, lightly sounding like a concerned parent yet still having his lightly squeaky voice, being 17 and still going lightly through puberty took a toll on his voice, at this point it should be expected to stay like that for years. Louis asked this question because usually the other people that live in the house tend to get wild and overly drunk and start a party, though it is Sparrow's house, he didn't do anything about it and went along with it. Sparrow didn't like parties much he was a bit more introverted but he doesn't have enough energy  to get them to shut it down. What usually happens is they start setting up, "Well it s just a little right now I can shut it down later," then it's later and they start inviting people. "I can let them have fun for a bit it's fine," then that happens over and over until it's a full blown party where people are screaming and music is blasting. Sparrow never has enough energy for these things, if he had energy he would've gone to college, at least that's what he likes to think. Sparrow then groaned, banging his head into the table. Louis gave him that one look that was telling you: "Come on, you're fine." Sparrow then picked his head up looked back at Louis with the look on his face that said "Yeah, I know." After their quick glances, Louis realized he was about to burn his hand and stopped poring the boiling water into the cup. He put the water back onto the stove, turning it off. Sparrow looked into his coffee, seeing himself in the reflection. He just, stared at it. He was dazed, perhaps in a trance, but whatever it was, he was stuck, trapped even. His mind surfed the cosmos thinking about how he ended up, well, here. A smart young boy who was certain to get a scholarship to get into college, to a depressed adult with a drug use and alcohol dependency problem. He wondered why he took this path. How he took this path, why did he do this? Then he remembered, it clicked in his brain. 'I did it for Them.'
