kum junhyeon. everyone thought of him as a very lively character who has this refreshing aura that draws you to him instantly the second you see his face. he smiles regularly, laughs louder than everyone else until his eyes are curving like cupid's bow, greets everyone 'good day' whenever everybody catches him walking around the school facility, teases (affectionately) his friends almost every minute to lighten up the mood, humors his classmates, makes everyone comfortable, etc.
not only he has a bubbly personality, his looks is one of his strongest assets too. his hair dances along with the trees everytime the cold wind blows, looking like a silky smooth wave in the east where the sun shines brightly. his eyes glistens like the stars sparkling in the darkest night, revealing the vast universe. his nose is as refined like those pieces of silver molded several times to encapsulate its perfect shape. his lips look like it has been kissed by icarus, so tempting and intoxicating.
to cut it in short, everyone thinks of him as the 'funny good looking guy' because of everybody's perception. however, people tend to forget that he's not just a "class clown" who says the same old joke 24/7, spouts the most nonsensical shit all the time, and acts like a stupid side character who has nothing to offer but to be a comedic relief.
while kum junhyeon might not be the smartest among the students in their university, he has a pretty decent grade. he doesn't get a mark below B and has an average of 2.7.
thus, he is not as stupid as everybody thinks he is.
and there goes kim taerae.
kum junhyeon has known him ever since freshman year. junhyeon's first impression of him was like a puppy who got lost in a gigantic forest, shaking and fearing for his life. but as time passes by, junhyeon's impression of taerae became a dog (mostly a golden retriever) wagging its tail at everybody, befriending everyone he sees. he's quite shy, junhyeon supposed. but he has a good communication and socializing skills. not to mention, he's very gentle with his words and actions, careful not to hurt the people surrounding him.
so, junhyeon thought, he is not bad at this after all-talking to people. yet when it comes to him, why does taerae look like he's been struck by a lightning?
does taerae hate him? but that's impossible. junhyeon rarely interacts with taerae and never once insulted him to the point that he would despise him. in actuality, he has been very kind to him (oh well, maybe he teased him a little back then, but it was totally harmless). so, there is little-to-no possibility that taerae might hate him.
or of so, it's just impossible! taerae is a very nice guy. at this point, he could actually be a saint because of his nice personality. it may sound like an exaggeration, but it's impossible to think that taerae can hate someone, especially the one who has never wronged him!
another reason could be... maybe because taerae is shy? there's like a humongous possibility that he's shy. but why? they've known each other since freshman year! everyone in the room is shameless, after all. is it because junhyeon witnessed one of his jokes (it was a dad joke) that's why he's embarrassed? or is it because junhyeon is embarrassing that's why he's ashamed whenever he's with him?
well. he doesn't know.
not until the clinic incident.
in junhyeon's mind, there is actually one possibility.
junhyeon knows how taerae's cheeks burn like crimson red everytime he's near. junhyeon knows how he stumbles upon his words everytime he talks to him. junhyeon knew how taerae tries to avoid his eyes everytime he initiates eye contact. junhyeon knew how taerae's eyes linger everytime he's not looking.
right then, he knew.
