~chapter 3~

Angel's pov:

As we had just put the stew on the stove to cook and are getting the ingredients to make cakes we both turn around when we here someone's boots stomping on the floor towards the kitchen. When we turn to look I see a tall heavily built man with a mask on his face standing in the door way to the kitchen.

"Oh Bubba please come in and welcome our kind guest." Luda tell the man who I now know is bubba her youngest child. Bubba then walks into the kitchen, having to duck to get in. As he walks closer to Luda and me I can truly see how tall he actually is.

Once he had walked over to Luda he reached down and gave her a little hug, he the turned to look at me and tilted his head looking down at me. Luda just grabs one of his hands before leading him over to me. "Bubba this is Angel, Angel this is Bubba." Luda says as I crank my neck all the way up as Bubba seems to be well over 6 foot maybe almost 7 foot.

"Hi Bubba its nice to meet you, Luda has spoke so much about you." I say to Bubba with a kind smile on my face. He looks at me when I say this with his head slightly tilted to the side before he leans down to Luda to I think whispers in her ear.

Luda then gets a huge smile on her face from I'm guessing what even Bubba told her. She looks at me before telling me. "Bubba said it's nice to meet you too, and asked if he can also help us make cakes." I don't even need to think about my answer because from what Luda has told me Bubba is the most amazing man so I instantly tell them, "of course he can join us I have a spare apron in my car that he can wear let me quickly go and get it."

I go to walk out of the kitchen to go get the apron but before I could Luda quickly asks me. "Can Bubba go with you to keep you company?" I look at Bubba who was looking at me holding both of his hands together like he was nervous about my answer which makes me sad as from what Luda told me he had a horrible life with other people bulling him.

I quickly say to him. "Of course he can I would love the company." So that he wont get anymore horrible thoughts and to be honest I really would like to get to know him more, because from what Luda has told me he sounds like a lovely man.

I reach my hand out of Bubba to grab so that I wont lose him on the way to my truck. He looks at my hand for a couple of seconds before he slow reaches out his own hand, putting it into mine.

Bubba's pov:

I walk into mamma's house once I see a nice looking truck in her drive way, walking into the house I hear people in the living room where I see that there are some people sat on their phones not talking to each other, but I then hear mamma talking to someone in the kitchen.

Walking into the kitchen I see mamma talking to a short girl with an apron on about to make cakes, while I was standing in the kitchen door they both turn to look at me. Once mamma sees that it is me she says, "Oh Bubba please come in and welcome our kind guest."

Hearing her say our kind guest I know that we wont be killing her, but by looking at her I don't think I could kill her she looks too innocent. Walking into the kitchen, ducking down to full walk in I walk over to mamma bending down to give her a hug.

I then look towards this other person and tilt my head looking at her, but I stop when mamma grabs my hand and pulls me lightly over to this person. "Bubba this is Angel, Angel this is Bubba." The woman that I now know is Angel cranks her head up so that she can properly see my face.

"Hi Bubba it's nice to meet you, Luda has spoke so much about you" Angel says with a kind smile on her face. I look at her for just under a minuet to see if she was actually being genially kind or not, seeing that she was genuine I lean down to mamma.

"Can you tell her that it's nice to meet her too, and if I can help make the cakes." I whisper in her ear not wanting to speak out loud yet with the way my words come out. Mamma nods her head a little before turning to look at Angel.

"Bubba said it's nice to meet you too, and asked if he can also help us make cakes." Once Mamma told her it seemed like that she didn't even need to think before she answered. "of course he can join us. I have a spare apron in my car that he can wear let me quickly go and get it."

She goes to walk out of the kitchen but before she reached the door Mamma quickly asked her. "Can Bubba go with you to keep you company." She looks at me making me feel nervous that she wont let me go with her.

She quickly says. "Of course he can I would love the company." She holds her hand out to me making me look at it for a couple of seconds before reaching out and grabbing it, putting it into hers.
