"Class, we have a new student. Come dear, do not be shy,"The teacher said with a smile.
A guy who hung his head low, held onto his bag tightly, walking in. When he lifted up his head, my mouth gapped open. Girls in the class, screamed like fans of an idol.
"HE IS SO CUTEE,"Girl no.1 said.
"HE IS MINE,"Girl No.2 said.
"Ehem, class. This is Mr. Miller. Drake Miller,"The teacher announced.
He looked in my direction and caught my eye. He smiled a smirk with a slight nod. He then walked through the class, passed me to the empty seat behind me.
Next thing I knew, all eyes were glued to him. Almost all the people were turning to bushes or statues. Before that could happen, I was saved by the teacher starting the class. I dug into the toffee mug cake and felt relieved.
-School bell rings, many periods passed-
Sigh...
That was a long class..
Other students dashed out of the class, happily. It was lunch. I walked to my locker to place in my bag and books. After that, I walked to the cafeteria in silence. The cafeteria buzzed with delight and chatter. I went in the line and got a tray. I got an apple, pudding, mouthwatering chicken burger with an Oreo shake.
I sat alone as usual. You would have realized that I really do not have friends. I jammed my spoon into the pudding and started scooping a huge chunk out.
"Um, excuse me. Is this seat taken?"A familiar voice filled my ears.
I looked up and met the same pair of emerald eyes.
"Not really. Nobody actually does, kinda,"I said while biting my lower lip, feeling embarrassed, kinda, for not having friends.
He smiled, showing off his pearly white teeth. He sat down, laying his tray on the table. He gave a simple grin, not long after. I could not help but glance a few times at his eyes while we ate. He did not sit across me, thank god, so it was pretty easy to stare. Though, he still caught my eyes a few times.
When he did, he would look up at me with a cute grin or smirk, being all like: Do you like me?
I do not get it. Why do my cheeks flush with pink a bit yet my heart feels like its going to burst? Is this what they really call love?
We finished our lunch quietly. Though, we walked to the tray counter together. Then, we bid our goodbyes and parted away from the cafeteria doors to the hallway. I went back to my locker and grabbed my books and bag when suddenly, something fell out of my locker as I did so. A white piece of paper, foolscap paper to be exact.
I picked it up with curiosity. I turned it front and back to see if something was written on it but it was only folded. I wanted to open it but I could not let gossip fill the air. I will open it at home. I placed into my bag, with a 'click'.
I walked to class in a silent yet curious mood. I could not stop thinking of the letter. What could be inside? WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE WRITTEN IN THERE THAT I SHOULD KNOW?
I led out a sigh, pretty much as usual.
In my seat, my hands kept shaking yet filling with sweat. I was quivering at the very least. I can't hold it much longer..
I took the paper out of my bag and placed it in my pocket. I then asked permission from the teacher to the toilet. While walking to the toilet, I caught a scene of some people talking. I his behind the nearest wall and listened. Eavesdropping, huh?
