"Any last words, Vanessa?"  He said smirking, his hands strangling my neck.
"Just spare her. Spare our daughter. Please..." I said weakly.
"I thought you didn't beg, Leoy? What happened to the princess Of Mischief?"
"Christopher Please, s-she's just A CHILD!!"
"I do not need reminders of your stupidity! Anything else my dearest?" He smirked evily with no remorse.
"I hate you."
"Goodbye darling!" He said raising his wand to prepare the spell as I closed my eyes and gripped my child into my arms.

The sound of the waves woke me up.I stared at the ocean in front of me as the cold and refreshing wind welcomed my face.  I felt peaceful. Too peaceful. Then I remembered what had happened a while ago.  The soldiers, the ritual, the betrayal.  My own husband had banished me and his own child from my own kingdom. But where could he have sent us? Then it hit me. I was on Earth. The only exact replica of my world, Arth, but without magical beings. I tried standing up carrying my numb legs wherever I could.
"Leo! Laila!" I frantically called out to my Spirit animal.
"We're here master." Said a warm voice. I was finally relieved seeing him holding my child into his arms.
"Leo... But how? How can we remember everything? Even after the ritual?"
" The goddess, master. She saved us."He said smiling.
"Reconlee, goddess." I prayed at the night sky, tears streaming down my face.

8 years later
"After my banishment from my own kingdom, my home, we had learned to finally live in this planet or pe

'Princess, when are we going to tell her the truth?'
Leo linked me a
'And tell her that she's related to vampires,
wizards?? Who on Arth would, believe me, Leo??'
' I feel her magic increase every day master. It's better if we tell her now.'
' It'll be very hard for her to adjust to this if we tell her now. She is just a child Leo. She will be scared, she will not understand...'
" Mommy I'm done," Lyla said, wearing a uniform.
"It looks good on you Hunny! Come now, I've prepared breakfast. Come, have a seat..."
After breakfast, I dropped her off at school and went to work. As I walked through the plaza it quickly reminded me of my earlier memories. Walking with my best friend Skylar, having a romantic stroll with my partner. Those were the good times, I'm just glad it happened.

*Scene moves to a woman with her son*
"You better not make any fuss today got it? A word to anybody about who you are and no dinner!"
"But why mother? Why can't we tell them?"
"Keep in your useless mind that we are going on a mission!!! Now go!"

*after school*
"How's the class? Did you make any friends?"
"Yes, mommy! His name is Eric!"
"That's a good start Hunny. Great job."
"Mommy, I'm hungry."
"Don't worry! I made your favorite! Fried chicken."
"Thanks, mommy!"
"Your welcome darling. Come let's go home."
Every day was tiring but in the end, it was worth it. Seeing her smile and following her dreams will always be worth fighting for. Well, I guess peace was never an option. After weeks and weeks, I felt her magic bloom. I did not want to tell her the truth for her safety, but deep down inside, I felt like a coward. I remembered a few days ago, me and Leo we're out practicing when we encountered a powerful beast. It wasn't like the regular animals you'd usually found on Earth. It was large, probably a little taller than my Spirit animal. I never got to see its face as we already ran thinking it was one of our enemies' warriors. Indeed, I felt like a coward.
"Ev gír, Leo!"
"Master..."
"How was it?"
"Master, I've got bad news..."
"Go on. Every day is bad news anyway..."
"There was an open portal in the northwest. The Swans have arrived master..."
