Oh fucking fuck.

The private jet is basked in silence with the lights dim. Via sits next to me, snoring softly with her head lolling back and forth. I can't tell what everyone else is doing and I don't want to either, not when my body feels like it is on fire.

I've never been great at remembering things; so this fervid feeling is a result of my forgetfulness to cast a protection spell on myself before leaving the comfort of my apartment. The walls of my flat have the security of my enchantment already. Due to my deficient power, it's hard for me to survive on outskirts of my bounds without casting a shield. Which I've conveniently missed to do before leaving to a whole another country.

I really am losing my grip on everything as inch by inch the sorcery slips through my veins. I stand up and stagger out of my seat before inching towards the restroom slowly when I feel a tug on my forearm, my skin is so numbed that I almost don't feel the touch. Turning around, I come face to face with Jungkook. His incandescent eyes raking my whole body before stopping at my lips.

"Your lips are blue."

"Thanks for the observation."

"Something's wrong." He isn't asking. He is assuring.

"Yes. And more will go wrong if you don't get your hand off me." He shifts, his hand still on my arm, but his grip lighter.

"Sit." He points to the nearest seat which turns out to be empty. The moment I sit, he disappeares behind the curtains and moments pass before he returns... with a cardigan and cup of tea in his hand. "Here." He places it  on the table in front of me before giving me another once-over.

"Wait, I don't need this." I refute with no resolve and heft confusion sinking through my mind. But Jungkook just glances my way, tipping his chin to the cup and then heading back to his seat. What the fuck just happened?

I think over the illusory crisis while simultaneously putting on the warm cardigan and taking a sip of the tea and god bless his soul, the tea is divine. It assuages the burn in my throat and I feel warmth coursing through me. My eyes flicker to Jungkook whose eyes are closed and head leaned back while he sits in a three piece suit. And I sport a red turtleneck with black sweats. The contrast almost makes me smile.

"Are you fucking serious?" I curse out, standing in my hotel room that ends before it even begins. A single bed in the middle, a mini fridge, no television and the most unsightly view from the littlest window I've ever seen. I blow my strands from my face before sitting on the clean sheets and holding my head in my hands. The bed creaks and I groan out once again.

"Perfect vacation." I mumble to myself, grabbing the clean (thankfully) towel and robe, a pair of fresh clothes and entering the bathroom. I take a long, warm shower and as I step out, I almost jump out of my skin to find Jungkook sitting on the foot of my bed. I haven't put on any real clothes yet, the robe sits snug around my body and my wet hair trails down my shoulders.

"What are you doing here?" I glance towards the door, "Don't you know what a knock is?" He leans forward, his elbows resting on his knees and I impel myself back from sliding my eyes any further down his neckline. He wears a black button down―the same one he was wearing in the flight but this time, few buttons are undone giving a clear view of his collarbones and the silver chain dangling.

"I let myself in." He rasps, bringing a hand up to rub his eyes before meeting my gaze, "We need to talk." I take a moment before nodding, walking over to the dresser and bringing out my dryer. I plug the machine in and it makes a sonorous sound, too loud to have any conversation. Through the mirror, I catch Jungkook's narrowed gaze.

"Talk." I state, curling my fingers through my tangled locks and skimming while drying them off. The dryer is snatched from my grip and in a moment, Jungkook's towering next to me, with the disconnected machine in his palm. "Excuse yourself and give that back." I snap, taking it back and standing up―even if I'm not level with him since he's contemptuously tall, I keep my gaze high to appear lofty.

"I'm serious."

"So am I. You talk to me, with all your acquaintances present. There's nothing we need to discuss in the walls of my bedroom." He steps back, his tongue pressed against the inside of his cheek―a sign of his frustration. Then he clicks his tongue and shrugs, "Fine, you're dodging a warning."

I nod, "If it's such an important warning, voice it in the next meeting."

He stares at me strenuously for a moment too long before retracting and walking to the door, "Goodnight, Luna." His raspy baritone makes the hair on my neck stand, I shrug it off as the door clicks shut. Only then do I realize, I'm hugging my body tight as if his presence itself rankled me to my bones.

But this wasn't aggravation, this was something else. I could almost name it as apprehension, as if his closeness wasn't a threat but a sanction. Something I craved and breathed for.
