sometimes it's better to leave

Amaia picked up her brothers as usual when she got to Anthony's school he had dirt covering his face and it looked like a bruise was forming on his cheek so she said "what happened, who did this?" he just looked away then said "the same person as always" Amaia being pissed off walked herself to the daycare office marched in and looked at the man sitting in the desk and said "if you guys arn'r going to do anything about my brothers poor treatment i'll take care of it myself" the man rolled his eyes at her but had seen the fire burning in her eyes. she walked out being full well knowing he wasn't gonna do shit.

she sat her brother down and cleaned his face and said "next time something happens call me or leave and come to me, i will not put up with how your being treated ok" he smiles at his sister and they head home with George holding Anothony, once they were a couple blocks away Amaia took him, and George went ahead.

Amaia walked in the door and was smacked in the face with a raging woman in front of her saying "how dare you threaten someone you bitch, i took you under my roof and this is what i get in return" she looks at Amaia who just mumbles saying, "sorry ma'am" Carol just rolls her eyes and walks away. Amaia walks to her room and sets her brother in his bed and runs her fingers through his hair and says "I'm sorry i can't protect you all the time, but i will try" then she kisses his forehead and walks out going to the living room.

Amaia looked at the couch seeing carol and bob sitting on the couch and she walks into the kitchen and starts preparing dinner staring with cutting the vegetables and meat then putting the vegetables all in the pan with a little butter then getting another pan for the meat.

after she's finished, she called everyone for dinner then went to her room and gave her brother some food she snuck out as he eats, she smiles and goes to her bead and grabs her notebook and pen and starts writing a song. after half an hour bob walks in and sees the empty plate then grabs Amaia and drags her out of the room and Amaia looks at her brother and telling him with her eyes not to do anything, bob slams the bedroom door and throws Amaia down the stairs and once he's down the stairs he looks at her and says "why'd you get some food you know we feed you" and Amaia mumbles "yeah fucking trash" and he says "what was that" Amaia shakes her head saying "nothing" he then grabs her hair and drags her to the basement then throws her against the wall then ties her hands and beats her for several hours before untying her hands and leaving. She lays there for a little before slowly stumbling her way to her brother, she notices he's asleep and smiles. she walks to the bathroom and gets a bucket and rag to clean herself up.

seven years later

it was the middle of the night when Amaia got her brothers up and they were sneaking out of the house to get away from the bastards that were supposedly taking care of them. they had found out a couple years back that George wasn't doing what they wanted and decided to 'punish him'. it was currently one in the morning, and they were walking along the dark roads to get to their new home. 

after walking for an hour, they arrived at the apartment that Amaia rented with the help of a friend of hers. they walked in and sat all their stuff on the ground and laid down and fell asleep.
