chapter 10!

Ares took my hand and lead me to the balcony that was just around the corner, the sunset just startet, so there was this wonderful golden shade on Ares face and just now I realized that he has a cut that goes from his left eyebrow over his nose. its so fine that u have to look directly at it so that u can see it, he turns to me and just pressed me against his strong body. he was warm but there was a slight shiver I noticed but didn't mentioned it.

Ivy: you okay? I asked while rubbing my hands up and down his back.

Ares: Ivy are u serious, you're asking me if im okay?

Ivy: I mean, I guess

he took a step back and took my face in his hands and looked me directly in the eyes and just smiled at me.

Ares: Look im not scared or something by the thread of Luca, he knows that I have more power than him but if he ever dares to just thread you or touch u I will kill him.

Ivy: but why would he do something to or even put a threat against my back? he doesn't even know me.

Ares: he could see that your important too me and that ur not just someone I bring with me for "show"

Ivy: I mean something to you?

Ares: Ivy of course you do, I will tell you something about myself when we get home okay? its too risky here and I wanna leave anyways.

Ivy: okay

**** Time skip back at home*****

Ares is still holding my hand when we entered the house, the only time he let go of it was to get out of the car and opening my door, now he's leading me onto the roof where this Wonderfull roof pool was and a few chairs around a table and a bar in the corner. on the other side was this extremely big couch, that had blankets and pillows u can cuddle yourself in. I Turned my face to Ares who was just looking at me with those eyes he always makes if I look at him.

Ivy: Don't give those eyes

Ares: which eyes.

he said in a sarcastic tone and lead us too the couch and sat down, he took a blanket and threw it over me and pulled me closer to his warm body, I cuddled up to him and wrapped one arm around him.

Ares: when I was younger my father always slapped me with his belt, he fletched it across my back multiple times a day. when I was 10 he took me on a mission for the first time, even tho I didn't wanted to, we went on a yacht.. there was this man strapped on a chair, behind him his wife and his two children wich where identical twins. Alliana and Tiago... Ivy they were the same age as me, I just stood there my father screaming at me, I didn't even knew about what, I was just staring at the family and then out of nowhere there was a gunshot and the man was dead, his eyes staring into mine, his last emotion plastered on his face and a hole in his head.

Ivy: Are..

Ares: wait, I had to watch the death of a whole family and two children that had nothing to do with the stuff their father and mother did. After that my father had to drag me into our house and just shoved me down the stairs to our basement, and locked me in there. I don't know for how long I was in there without any food or light just my father coming down the stairs to punch me with the belt or his knuckles with a massive ring on his finger, the only thing I know was I definitely lost a lot of blood and had a few broken ribs and bones....

Ivy: and the scar on your face?

Ares: yes that one to, he slid his knife across my face because he didn't wanna see my weak face.

Ares: on my 14 birthday, I had my first "real girlfriend" I really loved her and never put her in danger. when my father found out we were together, after a year and a half, he made me kill her... I was just barely 16 and had 5 kills on my back and one person I loved, I will never forget the face she made when she knew I will do it, my hand was shaking and my eyes blurry from all my tears. I whispered "I love you" and shoot in the middle of her heart.

Ares: My father only said these words, " if you love ur weak, if u trust ur weak and if you cry ur not a man. Son u don't need love, you need power and the fear from people" after that I never cried again, I never loved someone again, I never trusted anyone ever again only my mother and the close people here In this house. When Luca saw that I was holding ur hand and smiled at you, he knew, he knew I fell for you and that this gives him power over me. because he can hurt you or kill you. Ivy..... I don't want this, I don't wanna lose you.

Ivy: Ares, you won't loose me, im here, see? do you feel my hand in urs, do you feel my breath against your skin?

Ares: yes....

Ivy: See? and listen to me carefully, delete these words ur father said to you that day. you're not weak if you love, trust or cry. not even close understand? what your father did was cruel and unforgivable, he made you kill the Person u loved and told you are weak?! Ares, before I met you I didn't even knew what the Word strong means, you showed it to me.

Ares: se solo sapessi quanto queste parole hanno guarito una parte interiore di me che pensavo fosse morta da tempo, grazie tesoro

Ivy: Non c'è bisogno di ringraziarmi, sei qui con me e questo è ciò che conta, anche se mi hai rapito, il che è un po' strano, ma va bene.

Ivy: im getting tired, can we go to bed?

Ares: ofc Tesoro, you wanna stay with me?

Ivy: yes, you're nice and warm and good to cuddle.

Ares: Im glad

Ares picked me up and walked into his room, it was way more bigger, that mine I had across the hall and the bed is enormous and it looks so comfy. I took a shirt from his closet and changed in the bathroom after I took a quick shower. the shirt was falling almost over my knees and I look like a Smurf in it, when I came into the sight of Ares he only laughed at me and pulled me to him, so that my head lays on his chest, our leg interwerted and his hand caressing my back.

Ivy: good night tesoro

Ares: good night mi amore
