☆ Chapter 3 ☆

When I entered, Hobi was passing the kitten to the nurse while answering some questions.

"I'll need you to write down your contact details so we can update you on the kitten's wellbeing.", The counter nurse slid Hobi a piece of paper.

"Can I fill out the form instead?", I interrupted.

"Who are you?", The nurse asked me, while handing the kitten over to her colleague.

"I found the kitten along with these guys, I volunteered to take care of the kitten.", My mouth spoke before I could think and before I knew it, I was filling in the form with my contact information. I hesitated before I wrote down Min Yoongi. There shouldn't be trouble, it's a vet office.

"Here's your hat sir.", The nurse said as she handed Hobi's hat back to him.

"Hey, Mika-ssi. The kitten-", A younger nurse came out as her eyes widened, "J-Hope and SUGA!"

"Ah-ha hi!", I greeted awkwardly, while J-Hope simply smiled and waved.

"The kitten is yours? Also, I'm a big fan of BTS and you guys are my bias!", She started prying and gushing.

"Uh, kinda, we found it abandoned at a carpark.", Chinmae stepped forward to explain.

"Uh, I didn't ask you. I was asking them. Who are you even?", She rolled her eyes and I felt anger and annoyance building up within me. Before I could lash out, Hobi stood between us and explained our situation and made up an excuse for us to leave.

"She was so rude and for what!", I frowned as I entered our car, "What's so difficult about being nice to other people?"

Chinmae laughed, "It's okay you know, it was kinda my fault to answer you guys' behalf, she was asking you guys after all."

"No. Don't apologise, you're just doing your job as our manager.", Hobi said as we buckled our seatbelts, "Oh, by the way, Hyung, the kitten is a female."

"Oh really? Then the names I was thinking of are a perfect fit for her. Either Baeg-Hab or Nari.", I said, "I think I'll go with Nari though."

"You chose Nari* because Nari represents rebirth right?", Chinmae asked.

*Nari means lilies

"Yup. I can't wait for the kitten to be living with us while it recovers.", I said excitedly, "So we are going shopping now?"

"Mhmm. The nurse said that the kitten, Nari, should be okay since there was nothing wrong with her vitals, maybe just a bit malnourished and dirty. But they will be keeping her there for a night for observation.", Hobi said.

I nodded and resumed writing lyrics on my iPad while Hobi and Chinmae discussed what kind of clothes teenagers like these days. Occasionally, I would interject their conversation with a suggestion but I was never really too active in the conversation.

After we parked the car, we dropped off my guitar at the guitar shop and went around the various clothing shops and got a bagful of clothes for Chinmae's son.

"Thank you for helping me choose the clothes! I wouldn't know what to get for him if it weren't for you guys!", Chinmae looked at the clothes happily.

"We should get the presents wrapped and a card to go along with it!", J-Hope suggested, "That shop there seems to sell stuff for gifting."

"Let's go then.", I said, heading towards the shop while adjusting my mask with Hobi and Chinmae in tow.

We walked around the shop and I spotted a red ribbon. An idea popped into my mind. I purchased the red ribbon and placed it into Hobi's bag.

"What did you buy? Oh, a ribbon? For what?", Hobi peered into his bag.

"Nari.", I smiled.

After purchasing the wrapper, the shop assistant offered to help wrap the clothes. The clothes were then packaged into the bag neatly. Chinmae thanked the shop assistant and he went back to the car to leave the bag.

"Ah! We should go get some stuff for Nari before she comes home.", I suddenly remembered, "Is there a pet shop here?"

"Lemme check the directory.", Chinmae was silent while searching for a pet shop in the mall, "Ah yes, there's one on the first floor."

We stopped by the pet shop and grabbed some necessities like a litter box, crate, bed and food. We loaded everything into our car and dropped off Chinmae at his house. Hobi and I headed home and sorted out everything for the kitten in my room.
