"Yoo-hoo~! Can you hear me?"
Feeling a dull ache in your back, you realize it's your own fault for dozing off on the desk. Reluctantly, you peel your eyes open, only to be greeted by a girl standing inches away from your face. Startled, a scream escapes your lips as you stumble backward, landing ungracefully on your ass.
You gaze up at her, a mixture of disbelief and surprise etched on your face, still catching your breath from the sudden fall.
"W-where are we?" you stammer, your eyes darting around the unfamiliar surroundings, desperately trying to make sense of the situation. It all feels so surreal, almost too fantastical to be real.
A burst of laughter escapes the girl standing before you. "You dummy!" she exclaims, unable to contain her amusement. "We're at Hope's Peak Academy," she explains, her tone laced with a hint of uncertainty. "At least, that's what Ibuki thinks."
You let out a laugh of disbelief while still seated on the floor, studying the girl with her eccentric hairstyle.
"You're not Ibuki," you say, your smile appearing slightly unhinged. The other three individuals in the room cast strange glances in your direction, clearly taken aback by your peculiar behavior.
" Eh? Whadaja mean?" She gives you a perplexed look but doesn't appear to be offended. "Of course, Ibuki is Ibuki!" she asserts with a hint of confusion, emphasizing her own name.
Your breathing quickens, and you feel the onset of an anxiety attack. Recognizing the signs, you swiftly pick yourself up from the floor and make your way to the corner of the classroom, seeking solace. Placing your focus on calming your breath, you take slow, deliberate inhalations and exhalations, attempting to regain control over your anxiety as more and more people come through the door.
It cannot be, it really really can't be happening.
But as the last person enters through the door and the blond guy in glasses speaks you know you can't deny it any longer.
"About time... Now all are present and accounted for"
