She met him in the same parking lot she was traded off every two weeks.

Thanks to her divorced parents, the parking lot in front of an old, run-down gas station had become her third home.

While her parents argued over the messed up schedule, she started to feed random birds that seemed to appear out of nowhere. It seemed like for every bird she fed, three more appeared. Eventually, they all sat on and surrounded a motorcycle, since that was where Imogen was throwing them food at.

And when she had no more seeds left, the birds couldn't help but stare at her betrayed. Imogen thought she was crazy the second she noticed their look, so she turned around to look at her parents who were now arguing about money.

Taking out a piece of gum, all Imogen could think about was taking a nap when she got home. The two nights spent at her dad's house seemed endless, but he did buy her some new shoes making it all worth it.

Suddenly, she heard mumbling behind her. She turned her head and saw a boy with glasses and blond hair with blue streaks. He seemed to be mumbling something along the lines of "stupid Ran" and "cutting his braids while he's asleep."

As if he had sensed her staring, he looked at her and they made eye contact. He then focused on the birds covering the motorcycle before raising an eyebrow. Then as if he had realized something, his eyes slightly widened and he walked towards them.

"Can you get your birds off my motorcycle?" He asked with a serious face.

"They're not my birds," Imogen told him, copying his seriousness.

"Well, can you like, tell them to move?" He asked her making her stare at him as if he were an idiot.

Imogen's parents, now noticing their interaction, got into another argument again. This time, however, it was because her dad didn't want Imogen to have a boyfriend, while her mom, stated that she was old enough.

After staring at him for a few seconds, Imogen then waved her arms at the birds making them fly away.

"There you go," she told him before he responded with a short "thanks."

Before Imogen could say anything else, she heard her mother call her name, telling her that it was time for them to leave before she ran over Cain, Imogen's dad, with her car.

Rindou having heard that, looked at Eira, Imogen's mom, before looking back at Imogen. He then nodded at her before getting on his motorcycle.

Imogen nodded back before walking to her mom, who was now ranting to her about how she always picked the idiots and to not make that same mistake.

Rindou watched as their car drove off, before turning on his bike. As he was about to drive off, he noticed a bird staring at him waiting for food.

After a few seconds of eye contact, Rindou drove off, but not before muttering a "what a weirdo."
