Taekook past life to Present

Waking up from a dream, he woke up with a cold sweat running down his forehead while panting heavily. Taehyung thought it was something like a real event. His dreams kept hunting him back to something he felt he belonged to. But it was so blurry that he couldn't see anything or maybe someone in his dreams. However, it made him confused because it was somehow like a piece of his memory that he can't remember.

“Taehyung, you just woke up? Come on, we have to get going now. We'll be late for our shift.” Jimin, his friend, told him, making him come back to his senses.

“Huh? Ah, yes, I'll get ready.” He uttered, shaking his head.

It was just a dream, yeah, indeed a dream, nothing else. Taehyung stood up from his bed to get ready for his work as a cashier. It is just a simple job, yet it still managed to help him survive.

While going to the convenience store, Taehyung couldn't help but feel like he was being watched. He knew it wasn't some sort of just a hunch because it kept happening every time he was alone. It scared him that he wanted to report it, but he didn't have enough proof to prove it.

“Why do you always seem to be lost? Are you okay? Do you perhaps feel something wrong?” Jimin asked him while they were wearing their uniform vest.

“Nothing, I am just not feeling well right now.” Taehyung said with a forced smile.

“Then, you should have told me, so I'll tell the boss instead.” Jimin replied.

“It's okay, I don't feel that bad. Besides, I need money too.” Taehyung responded.

“Yeah, sure.” Jimin sighed.

Once their shift ended, Taehyung had to go back to their shared house alone because Jimin went to his boyfriend's house to pay him a visit. While going out of the convenience store, he saw a man standing in front of the store.

When their eyes met, he saw how the man's eyes get teary as if he did something wrong. Yet, he felt his heart clenched for some unbeknownst reason.

His mind was telling him to go to him and hug him, but his feet won't move. The man wiped off his tears and turned around, leaving the store.

This time, he moves from his place to go where the man stands. He wanted to go after him, but that man was far from him. Taehyung let out a sigh and noticed a necklace with a heart pendant on the ground. He picked it up and opened it. Without knowing the reason, his tears fell from his eyes while looking at the picture on the heart pendant. It was a picture of a man, the same man he met earlier, and another person with a blurry face that felt like it was him even though he couldn't even see it properly.

He flinched when he heard a honk from the car, he wiped off his tears and cleared his throat. He realized that he was crying for something he didn't even know. He started to walk back to the convenience store, but he failed to notice that a truck was coming toward him. Everything became deafening when he heard a loud honk of a truck, before he could process anything, he was hit by the truck.

His body fell to the ground with him holding the necklace tightly. And everything went black.

PAST

Taehyung was happily running in an open yard, his laughs can hear around. His necklace with a heart pendant was displayed on his beautiful neck. It was meaningful for him because it was given by his boyfriend, and it has their picture on it.

“I got you!” He giggled when a pair of arms captured his waist from his behind.

“Fine, you win this time.” Taehyung chuckled, turning around to face the man.

“Is that mean you're mine now?” He asked while holding his waist.

“Am I yours?” Taehyung jokingly replied, cupping his boyfriend's cheeks.

“Yes, you're meant to be mine.” His boyfriend kissed his lips.

“Jungkook!” They both flinched when they heard a familiar voice of a woman.

“Sharmaine” Jungkook muttered, hiding Taehyung on his back to protect him.

“So, here you are, I've been looking for you? How dare you choose that pathetic man over me?! That so disgusting that you would love a man.” Sharmaine grumbled.

She was the woman who was set up to marry Jungkook because she forced her parents to, even though she knew his relationship with Taehyung. She's been obsessed with Jungkook, and she's willing to do anything to have him.

“I told you, I love him!” Jungkook retorted.

“You are mine! If I can't have you, then you can't be his too!” Sharmaine yelled and took out the gun from her bodyguard.

She was about to shoot Taehyung, but
Jungkook protected Taehyung by hugging him tightly.

“Taehyung!”

Taehyung was shocked when Jungkook's body fell to the ground. But he saw Sharmaine running away from the scene.

“Jungkook” He called him out while kneeling on the ground.

He doesn't know what to do, he can barely process what just happened.

“Jungkook, please wake up.” Taehyung cried, shaking his boyfriend's bloody body.

“T-Taehyung, I-I love you, please remember that. N-no matter what happened, please remember me. I-I'm sorry for leaving you like this, I-I love you.” Jungkook smiled while fighting for his life.

“Don't say that, don't leave me, please hold on a bit. I'll call for help, just wait for me.” Taehyung sobbed, trembling badly.

But he got no response anymore, he screamed his name while crying out loud.

“Jungkook!”

PRESENT

Taehyung woke up after getting unconscious due to the accident while screaming the name Jungkook.

“Taehyung, are you okay? I've heard what happened to you, that's why I came right away. I didn't expect you will get into an accident. It's been a week now since that happened.” Jimin stated.

Without any hesitation, Taehyung stood up from the hospital bed, removing the dextrose from his arms.

“Hey, you can't do that, you are still recovering!” Hannah told him, but he ran away.

With tears falling from his eyes, he went back in front of the convenience store where he met the man a week ago.

“Jungkook” He called out while panting heavily and with shaky breath.

The man looked at him with teary eyes, yet his smile was happy.

“You finally came, I've been waiting for you for ages.” Jungkook giggled.

Taehyung ran to his arms and hugged him tightly.

“I'm sorry, I forgot you, I'm so sorry.” Taehyung cried in his arms.

“It's okay, as long as you are in m arms. I'm happy, I finally found you, my love.” Jungkook caressed his back.

Taehyung couldn't help but cry because he remembered his past life with her boyfriend. And now, they've met again after so long.
