The very next morning I called Stewart. He picked up on the third ring.
"Stewart Douglas speaking."
"Mr Douglas. I apologize for calling so early. I don't know if you remember me but this is Rose-Marie Grant. We met at—"
"Murino Jewels. How could I forget such an enchanting young woman?"
I smiled. "I'm flattered. I would love to audition anytime you want me to. I am available any day, any time."
"I'm glad to hear that. Meet me at Murino Jewels at 11am. We'll discuss our way forward."
"Perfect. Thank you so much sir. "
"No, thank you, Rose-Marie. I'll see you then. "
I placed the receiver down as Todd walked into the room, already dressing up to leave for work.
"Was that the guy from Starke?" He asked.
I got up and went to help him with his tie. I stood on my toes as Todd was exceptionally tall.
"Yes. He said I should come see him at 11 where we first met."
"Okay, Mrs Williams," he said before kissing me.
"Not yet," I laughed as he spun me around and kissed my neck, pressing his groin onto my ass.
"So when do I get to meet your parents?"
I froze. I had told Todd about everything there was to know about me, except the truth about my parents. He knew that Matthew was a result of me being rape but he didn't know by who. I never told him about Mr and Mrs Brown."
"Well...I don't really talk to them. It's complicated," I explained as I turned around to face him.
"What happened between you?" He asked with furrowed brows.
I got flashes of memories but they made my head hurt.
"I don't...I don't remember."
"Hey, hey," Todd said softly as he lifted my cin so I could look up at him. "It's okay. It's okay. Okay?"
I nodded. "Okay. We're gonna have to do this without them."
"Okay then. Goodluck with your audition baby."
I kissed him softly. "Thank you baby."

.Stewart was outside the store, dressed in a neat navy suit. He had on sunglasses and he jiggled his keys in his hand repeatedly. He grinned as soon as he saw me.
"Miss Grant, you look lovely."
I looked down at the white and red checkered dress Todd got for me for Valentine's Day. "Thank you."
"Shall we?" He asked, offering his arm to me.
"Yes."
I took his arm and let him walk me to his car. We drove down into town and stopped outside a fancy looking building.
"We're going to take some photographs of you here and have you audition, " he explained as we entered the building.
I nodded, meekly walking beside him.
"Good morning Mr Douglas," an assistant greeted as she approached us. "However can I assist you?"
"We need to see Bobby Day."
The assistant nodded. "Right this way, sir."
I realized how respected and affluent Mr Williams was. As we walked through the building, everyone greeted him with respect.
The assistant led us to a room on the last floor. It had no door, and there were cameras everywhere.
"Mr Douglas," a man sitting at the desk in far corner of the room greeted. "What a lovely surprise. "
"Spare me the crap Bobby," Stewart laughed. "I need you to work your magic on Rose-Marie here. She needs photographs and a recording of her audition. Oh, and no makeup."
Bobby came to stand right in front of me, examining my face. "Of course not. She's a natural beauty."
Whenever I was called beautiful, I simply could not believe it. I was ugly, used, damage and dirty. I was not beautiful.
"We'll do your audition first, " Bobby announced, clasping his hands together. "I'll give you 5 minutes to go over your act and to get ready."
I immediately liked Bobby for some reason. He was flamboyant and friendly with a killer sense of style judging from his leather jacket and snake skin leather pants.
He went to his desk and there he chatted to Stewart quietly for a little while I stood awkwardly in the centre of the massive studio.
Finally, Bobby invited me to stand in front of the camera.
"Are you ready?" He asks as he sits behind the camera, seemingly tuning it .
I felt my hands shake uncontrollably. I was suddenly so nervous.
"Breathe darling," Bobby called out. "So for this audition you can act out any scene you want from any movie and they'll cast you accordingly, okay?"
I nod, shifting repeatedly in front of the camera, unsure of what to say next.
My mouth went dry. I had only watched a few of movies, and I didn't know any specific dialogs.
"I'm recording in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, action!"
I was beginning to panic when suddenly, I heard myself speak.
"I don't know...if you watch me from up there. This might be my first time even acknowledging the possibility, " I shrug with a laugh. "What do you think of me? Did I turn out okay? Am I good enough?"
My eyes begin to water. I fold my arms, taking a deep breath. "No, I sound silly. There's no way you've been watching me. You wouldn't let them put me through all of that while you just watch...would you? I don't remember what kind of people you were but I remember...the way you would tell me you loved me...It sounded so convincing...So true...So why would you leave me? Why would you leave me all by myself in this cruel merciless world with cold unfeeling strangers?"
At this point tears were rolling down my cheeks. I had always wanted to ask my parents why they'd leave me if they claimed to love me. Why didn't I die with them?
There was a reason. The whole world would soon know the name Rosie Grant. That's why I didn't die. Because this was my destiny.
"I miss you. I miss you so much..." I whimper, sitting down on the chair and hugging my body. "If you can hear me...even if it's been so many years, I'm still the little girl you left in a car on fire...and I'm still waiting for you to come get me..."
I felt a dull aching in my chest, a feeling of relief as well. I felt my heart break as well, I was happy too. I was an emotional wreck.
"And cut!"
I snapped out if it and turned to Bobby behind the camera. Stewart applauded me, a satisfied look on his face.
"Not only is she beautiful, but she's a brilliant actress!" He exclaimed.
I smiled, wiping my tears away. If acting was letting all that was on my mind and in my heart out, I'd be just fine.
"Wow Rose-Marie, " Stewart grinned. "That was amazing. You got the part."
"I got...I got the part?"
Stewart laughed. "Well you actually already had the part. I just needed to see what I'm dealing with."
I chuckled, tears still streaming down my face. "Thank you so much. Thank you."
