The cool breeze of the ocean was unlike any breeze he had ever felt. A young Percival was astounded at the adorable fish and crabs on the beach and in the ocean. His light blue short sleeve shirt was stained with dark spots from the damp water and his black shorts were completely soaked. His slippers were filled with a mix of sand, water, mud, and seaweed from going out too far into the water. His curly black hair was damp and sandy as well. He sat on the sandy shore staring into the distance wondering what the islands we like beyond Kraken HQ.
"Percy! Wash up and change for dinner!" A female voice called our from the door of their beach house.
"Yes Mom!" Percy said deviously while walking up to the water.
"Tap water and salt water are the same thing. And plus she never said which specifically sooo"
Just as the young boy was about to dip his hands into the saline water, the woman practically read his mind.
"Wash up with tap water. You know the difference and I know you know that." She screamed from the kitchen.
The young boy mumbled what he thought was a curse word and marched inside. A couple minutes later he entered the dinning room and hopped into the chair next to his mother at the grand wooden table. His mother set down plates for 5 people just before going back to get cutlery. The plate in front of him was a plate of linguine and clams. His favourite dish. He soon started to stuff his mouth, trying to see how much food he could push down his throat so that he could get back to playing in the water. As he lifted the plate to slide the food into his mouth, a hand grabbed it and set it down.
"Chew and swallow, please. The ocean will be there tomorrow. I promise." She said with a warm smile.
Priscilla Hudson was a calm, cool, and collected woman whose bad side you didn't want to get on. She was a fairly tall woman with long wavy black hair. Her fair skin complimented her hazel eyes and pink lips. She was a kind and caring woman who was an excellent combatant as well. She was known to be one of the strongest fighters on Cassinova and an excellent chef at that.
"Fine. Only if you say so.."
Percy set the plate down back on the table and started to eat with speed but also grace so his mom wouldn't get upset. After a few minutes of making happy noises after each bite, the young boy finally spoke up.
"Sooo who are the other plates for?"
Just then, a man walked in through the door. He was so tall he hit is head on the door frame. He had a shaved head and dark skin. Darker than Percy's. He wore a buttoned up mustard yellow blazer and brown pants that were rolled up at the legs. He wore blue loafers with a brown strap across them and he wore a black glove on his right hand as well.
"Barker! Welcome home! Where's your father?" Priscilla questioned with a warm smile.
"Hey Mom. I believe he's just behind me. Along with Serena."
Percy runs up to Barker and hugs his leg. "Barker!"
The large man kneels down and ruffles the boy's hair.
"What's up little man! What did you do today?" He asked while embracing him.
"I played in the water all day! I saw so many crabs and different fish! They were so cute! I also went exploring in the forest next to it!"
Suddenly, Priscilla jumps up from her chair with shock.
"Percival! You didn't tell me that! Are you okay? Are you hurt? Any scratches? Head injuries?"
Barker laughs at his mother's worry.
"Mom, don't worry. I'm sure a big man like Percy could handle himself in the forest. Plus, there are only tiny bugs, birds, and lizards in there. If he's anything like his brother, he handled them no problem!"
