Chicago, officially the City of Chicago, is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Illinois, and the third-most-populous city in the United States of America. It is located on the shores of freshwater Lake Michigan. Chicago however was in middle a rapid and various gang warfare. The ever waring gang factions were the infamous Bloods and Crips.
Their rivalry originated in the late 1960s when Raymond Washington and other Crips attacked Sylvester Scott and Benson Owens, two students at Centennial High School in Compton, California. As a result, Scott formed the Piru street-gang, the first "Bloods" gang. Owens subsequently established the West Piru gang. While the gangs did originate from Los Angeles, their war still somehow made its way to Chicago. No one knows why either of the gangs were formed. One idea suggests that the Bloods formed to protect themselves from other violent groups and do criminal activity. In contrast, the Crips were created to fight police brutality and protect African-American youth from racism. No one knows the definitive truth, but we and they known themselves for black-on-black violence. As they kept on fighting, the police is...well let's just say their relationship with the public has more tension and distrust then when a man refuses to let his girlfriend see his phone. However, it wasn't long before another businessman comes to town and claims to solve the gang problems and crime waves.
Justin Hammer. A man that often dresses in grey business suits with white hair, blue eyes, and being at the height of six-foot, the media depicts him as an amoral industrialist head of science conglomerate, although in person, some say that he maintains a cold disposition and is obsessed with attaining as much power as possible. In addition, Hammer is an unscrupulous British industrialist and head of various international design and manufacturing firms. He was born in Surrey, England, where he began his company Hammer Industries, which became one of the leading weapons suppliers in the world. There was even a rumor that Hammer maintained other manufacturing interests besides weapons, and it was while bidding for an plant, to be built within the borders of the small Communist country of Carnelia. And even, his secret project that he and the company have been keeping under wraps. In the later months, he announced that Oscorp and Hammer Industries are merging because of the recent loss of Oscorp's CEO, Norman Osborne. Like any other corporate fat cat, he promises big changes with the merger. One of those changes being that the CPD will work and cooperate with his company's' newly developed Hammer Drones.
Some have mixed feelings using robots to police the city. Some say it takes a more human and traditional and lawful approach to crime and gang violence. While others say "It's about time." "The police tried and failed to stop them." Never the less, he states that they're ready for deployment when he and he alone thinks is the right time to do so. Downtown Chicago, in a apartment building on Enclave Lane, lives a vibrant, diverse, and helping community. From local ma n' pop stores, come-and-go bodegas. Within the apartment building, in room 607, is a small African American family. There was a single mother who named since her birth, Suzette King. Suzette has long wavy black hair, dark brown eyes, and dark skin. She's a zoologist whom works for the Lincoln Park Zoo. Most of her time she would study numerous species of animals and insects alike. Some new, some familiar, most of her research originated in Africa. She remembers numerous encounters with various animals, tribal folk, poachers, and even her son's father. Now her only son, Kendrick King. He's what you can imagine what any urban teenager. However, to some and even his own mother, he's, what he claims, unique. Unlike most teens these days, he doesn't talk back, he doesn't usually don't keep up with the current trends. Whether it's fashion, social media, Kendrick is either out of the loop or just doing his own thing. Whether it's read and geeking out in comic books, manga, video games, si-fi and action movies, various different types of music, he loves them all. However, his life would change forever. One year ago, on his 16th birthday to his annual trip to the zoo, he would be bitten by a spider in the newly opened "Exotic Arachnids" exhibit. Ever since then, he's developed spider powers. A day after the bite, his body became more slim and fit and with the accommodation of super strength. He took a glance at his finger tips and noticed microscopic spider-like barbs sprouting from beneath his finger and toe prints. He would also at times feel an "itching" or "tingling" feeling at the base of his skull. It's as if he's developing a sixth sense or a extra boost to his physical and psychological awareness. And lastly, what appears to be the final addendum to his new spider-like powers is his discovery of white web-like patches on his wrists. And sometimes when he would pull his middle and ring finger down to the inside of his wrist, a sticky web fluid would shoot straight out of them. After discovering his new powers, it was long before he started drawing and imagining his very own spider-suit. After spending a couple a couple of days in his room reading some of his Spider-Man comics and browsing the internet for some inspiration, none of them really spoke to him and with the uprising numbers of Bloods and Crips, he thinks that when he goes out there, he'll be associated with either of the gang members. He needed something that was...him. Something, some color that shows not only the police, the gangs and the people of Chicago his neutrality. Then that's when it hits him. With this question, he began drawing his spider man suit. "That's it! Red and blue makes purple!" Once he finished his sketching, he grabs some fabric, ordered some bracers online and began constructing and sowing, and stitching his suit. After he finished he was beholden of his finest work yet.
"And now for a name." He thinks for a moment. He would google a superhero name generator but would get an ad for a movie app called: Ultraviolet. And that was it, his very own spider-name, The Ultra Violet-Spider!
