Antoine was one of the newer legends to join the Apex Games. It all started when he was at home, on his phone, and a commercial come on tv. It was something about the apex games but Antoine was too uninterested to care. That was until they mentioned the prize money for each game won. Then he got the idea to join the apex games.
He'd only seen some of the game on tv when he was at a bar or just at home and he'd only put it on as some sort of white noise to listen to while he cleaned his apartment. When he heard about the games needed a new legend he instantly got up and called the number stating his information and location. Then he waited. And waited. And did some more waiting for the call, text, or even email he was told he might get. It never came. That was until about 3 weeks later when Antoine woke up his phone dinged with a text from the syndicate about him making it into the apex games. He was told that he would be picked up off his planet and taken to where they keep the rest of the legends three days from then.
This was it, Antoine made it into the apex games with just a simple call to a number on the tv. it was hard to believe so it took him a second to wake up and begin packing for the trip of a lifetime.

Three days later Antoine stepped outside of his now former apartment, locked it shut, dropped off the key at the front office, and started his short walk to the pick up station. Occasionally, Antoine would glance down at his phone to make sure he was headed in the right direction. The location sent to him was clearly picked to be where no one would spot them but it also was just like the middle of nowhere. After a couple of minutes of walking he really thought he just went in the wrong direction until he saw the drop ship. there was a strange man in a suit standing by the stairs that led up to the actual entrance to the ship and when Antoine approached the strange man he took his bags and asked him if he was boarding for the apex games. Of course, Antoine was boarding for that exact reason. The strange man proceeded to pack Antoine's bags in a compartment under the ship and guided antoine up the stairs and into the ship itself.

The ship was larger than he expected. It also looked like it was made to hold many passengers at the same time. In the back of the ship there was a room he was guided to. "And here sir, is where you will be staying throughout this trip." The man opened the rooms door to reveal a miny apartment within the ship. It had a bed, a desk and a small kitchen. Antoine was reassured that the bathroom was located outside the room yet still nearby. Antoine stepped inside the room and placed down his backpack after saying thank you to the strange man. Not even 5 minutes after he had closed the door and laid down did the ship softly rumble and take flight.

Thinking to himself, Ant just took out his phone changer with his phone and scrolled through the apex games instagram page. There where tons of pictures of actual matches being played and even more of the legends themselves. There were group pictures of legends like Loba, Wattson, Valkyrie, and Bangalore but none of the legends seemed to peak their interest. He scrolled through the page more and found some videos and photos of most of the guy legends hanging out at a bar and being served by another one of the legends. It didn't say what bar they were at but it seemed pretty nice there.

It wasn't soon after that Ant fell asleep on the bed only to be awoken by the sound of the ship finally landing. The hissing of the ships breaks filled Antoine's ears as he got up and repacked his belongings in his backpack and checked the time. Because now that he was on a completely different planet there wasn't really a way to accurately tell the time, especially since the room he was in had no windows. It took him a second to splash some water onto his face and walk outside the room and out the ship where the rest of his belongings where. In front of him now stood a huge building where he was ment to check in at. The building resembled a hotel from the outside but he knew when he walked into the lobby that this wasn't just a hotel.

When he walked into the lobby there were a few other people there. Mainly staff but there were about three legends standing by one of the elevators. Ant hadn't known their names yet so it was quite hard to determine who they were. Once signed in his bags were taken to his new room and he was advised to get to know the other legends and head to the firing range. So of course, that's what he did. He managed to catch the same elevator as the other legends he saw from a few seconds ago. "Oh you must be the newbie" one of them said "The names Rampart, but you can call me ramya." She popped a bubble with her gum before sticking out her hand for Ant to shake. "Y-yea i'm new here, I just got sig-" "Hey there, my names Loba and this one over here," another, taller legend interrupted Ant while gustering to yet another legend. "is Mirage." before Ant could even speak again, the legend known as mirage also greeted you before you all heard the elevator ding and slide open. Rampart, or Ramya, leaned on your shoulder as all of them stepped into the elevator "So, where ya headed?" She asked. "I was told that I should meet the other legends so I'm on my way to the firing range" "Bloody hell, ain't this your lucky day, we're headed to the same place!" Ramya went to go push the button that took them straight to the firing range where the rest of the legends were.

Once the doors opened again, we were met with a field of dummies, moving targets, guns and ammo on the ground, and........black ooze. The legend known as Catalyst had just accidently thrown some black ooze all over me. "My bad, I missed my target" in almost an instant, the ooze was lifted off of me and onto a dummy. At this point I wanted to run out of there but there were bullets and thermites everywhere. This place was truly a firing range. "If you wanna be shot, get shot. I advise you go pick up a shield and a gun if you don't want to get hurt" Loba nudged me towards a pile of different colored shields and medkits as well as guns. Ramya threw me a red shield that I barely caught and a charge rifle "Aye, you kinda look like a charge rifle guy, don't you guys think?" Rampart asked Mirage and Loba before getting a gold spitfire and loading it up. "I-i don't think he should try the charge rifle fir-" But before Mirage could finish the gun was locked, loaded, and seconds away from shooting a moving target. "Guys, I may have not shot a gun before but should it be making that noi-" I was cut off by the sound of the beam shooting out, hitting something, and me falling backward from the sheer force of the gun firing. I expected to slam straight into the hard ground but surprisingly I landed somewhat softly and not on the ground. In fact, I was far from the ground and landed into the arms of yet another legend

"You're al'ight mate, just might wanna watch out there next time." The mysterious legend pushed me back on my feet and patted my back before walking away, grabbing a couple of thermites and stuffing them into his bag. He hadn't mentioned his name or anything but I could tell his whole personality was just cool. He was a bit taller than me but not by much, he had a mullet with a white streak through it, and a somehow charming eyepatch. I thought to myself, I was just completely dumbfounded. 'what just happened?'
