A/N: I like this chapter a lot more than the first. I'm sorry that it took so long I hope you enjoy!! Working on part 3 now :)
Later, after the new first years have been sorted into their respective houses and we've finished eating, I make my way to the dungeons and enter the Slytherin common room. Draco and Blaise are standing in the corner. Blaise nods, sending me a subtle wave, giving him a nod back, I continue making my way up a large, stone staircase, leading to the perfect quarters.
I find the door with the name "Renly Higgs" written on a piece of paper that's been taped on the outside. I remove the paper and unlock it, revealing a large room with a single full-size bed that's covered with dark green blankets and pillows. I smile, looking around. Thank god I don't have to share a dorm with Pansy again. She's sweet and all but I can only handle so much of her. I place my suitcase on the bed and begin unpacking the essentials, placing a few books on my nightstand, and hanging a few shirts in my closet. I hang my dark green dress on the back of my door, I'll be wearing it to the party tonight.
Outside the wooden door, I hear a familiar voice, I throw my head back, rolling my eyes as the realization hits me. Draco is also a prefect this year, and by the sound of it, his room is next door to mine. great. Out of all the 'Slytherin boys' Draco is my least favorite. He's rude, vain, and honestly fucking annoying. At least I have my own room. I need to try to focus on the bright side, I can't let Draco bring my mood down.
I have about an hour and a half until the party, so I start my makeup. I line my eyes with dark, glittery green eyeliner and run mascara over my lashes, after finishing I check myself in the mirror and begin straightening my hair. I slip on the tight dress. It has a black lace sweetheart neckline that reveals just enough of my cleavage for me to be slightly uncomfortable. The faint sound of voices fills my ears and I can tell it's almost time I slide on black fishnets and my white doc martens before leaving.
I make my way through the common room. People are flooding in, everyone dressed in some variation of green, black, or gray. As I'm walking through the crowd, conversations echo around me. Once I've pushed my way through, I find the hidden door. It leads to a secret passage that my friends and I been using to sneak around since our 3rd year. AKA, our meeting spot. I wait, standing around the corner. In an attempt to occupy myself, I look at the various paintings on the walls, some of them sleeping, others off doing their own thing. My eyes catch one in particular that seems to be giving me a suspicious look.
"Mind your own business," I whisper, the man in the painting scoffs and begins to say something but my attention is drawn away by Erin and Arya's hushed voices coming from down the hall. Both of them are smiling as they approach me. Arya gestures toward my dress, "You look so cute!"
"So do you guys!" I smile, scanning over their outfits. Erin is wearing a tight black dress with an open back. The neckline reaches up to her collarbone, making her shoulders look slim. Arya is wearing a cropped black v-neck and a short, black skirt. The 3 of us turn when we hear footsteps approaching.
Willow turns the corner, smiling. She's wearing a dark green dress with ruffled shoulders, the bottom of the dress reaching just above her kneecaps.
"So does she!" Erin points in her direction, smiling.
