When the emergency alarm sounded, Zoe quickly put on her Zeiss 2400 AR headset...

Zoe, like every other young girl her age loved to run around outside and play games. One brisk sunny day when Zoe was walking past her local shops, she saw the brand new Zeiss 2400 AR headset! Apparently, it was the latest craze at school. Almost every person in her class and school had one of these.

Her 13th birthday was coming up soon, so she very kindly asked her mother if she could get one. Zoe's mother was a tall, thin, tan woman with piercing blue eyes. Her mother replied with a simple " I'll think about it darling" with a soft kind smile. Zoe frowned she knew what this meant. She shook her head in agreeance and carried on walking with her mother. Weeks passed and Zoe thought her mother had forgotten!

The 18th of July soon came around... Zoe's birthday! She woke up at 6am that morning feeling refreshed and excited for the day ahead of her. Zoe Rushed downstairs to see her birthday breakfast already made, But her mother was nowhere to be seen! On the table was a note from her mother...

My dearest Zoe, Happy birthday! I'm truly sorry that I am not at home celebrating with you, but something at work came up; I wasn't allowed to discuss it with my family! Anyway Open the big red gift box on the table. I think you will enjoy it! Lots of love and birthday wishes - Mum

Zoe carefully pushed all the other gifts aside and reached for the big red box. Zoe lifted the lid slowly and peeped her big blue eyes inside. Flabbergasted she took the gift out of the box. Inside was the Zeiss 2400 AR headset and a card with 200 dollars inside. At first Zoe pretended the money wasnt there and just a card, But who was she kidding she was all alone on her birthday she didnt have to humble anyone!

She put the headset on, it was a milky white headset with black stripes. The headset is kind of like a VR set only better. Zoe had the choice to pick what game she was willing to play. Immediately she picked Alien Space Wars. It was her favourite game in the arcade, so when she found out it was on the headset she picked it right away.

Zoe picked the game. At first she felt wobbly, then hot and eventualy back to normal. Once Zoe was loaded in and picked her look, an error message popped up. ' !ERROR PLEASE REMOVE HEADSET!  ' Zoe immediately did as she was asked to. Only to find out that she was inside the game! Fear flooded through Zoe's body, tears built up into her eyes before the walls broke down and salty warm tears streamed down her tan face. What was she going to do, she only got 3 lives and if she loses then she herself will disappear into the game FOREVER...

Zoe knew what to do she was really good at this game right...? As soon as she grabbed her space lazer, aliens started spawning out of nowhere! She was quick to notice though and fired green space lazers at them. Alien goo started flying everywhere but Zoe didn't care, she was determined to win and go back into the normal world. Soon enough she had passed all 369 levels with only losing one life and had made it to the final boss. ' Jeez this boss is hard! I've already lost a life and I don't particularly want to lose anymore, ' Zoe silently thought to herself.' She was giving it her all when all of a sudden a blaring noise sounded. Zoe quickly scrambled to her feet realising that everything was crumbling behind her! When the emergency alarm sounded, Zoe quickly put on her Zeiss 2400 AR headset.

Green sticky, slimy goo started ooozing out of every inch of the game's ship. Every step and every corner Zoe took, more and more fear streamed through her body. Soon the floor began crumbling away into dust. She quicky clutched and held onto every part of her body, almost in a cannonball type form. Zoe's jet black hair was flying everywhere as she jumped into the void below.

And Zoe was never seen or heard from again...
