#OO1 - Doggos / Koga Narushima

Characters: Koga Narushima x Calm!Reader

A year ago, Koga's uncle Joji had gifted him a pet dog on his birthday. When he was told this, he was stoked. Could it be one of those huge police dogs? A golden retriever? He excited at the thought.

"Here you go, Koga." Joji Narushima said, opening the door to the room where the dog played around in. His fire soon died out.

"Uncle, did you just prank me?" He asked. There was no dog to be seen, he was perplexed.

"No, look down. Be careful, you might step on her."

As his eyes moved to observe lower, there stood a tiny Pomeranian puppy, at least 2 months old. The light brown and white mixed canine barked, Koga jumped back.

"W-What the hell is this?! It's so small!"
"She's still a puppy. Do not discrimnate nor underestimate based off size, Koga. She was a rescue." Joji Narushima scolded. Koga had no choice but to sigh, picking the tiny animal up. He wanted a cool and badass looking dog but instead he was given one the size of a stuffed toy.

At first he wasn't all too fond of the pet, but nonetheless as time went by, the small dog became his bestfriend, asides Gaoh Ryuki of course. Ryuki liked her almost as much as he did.

Now in the present day, he sits idle on the couch as Chiyo the Pomeranian laid beside him. He yawned.

"There's nothing to do today, Chiyo. Say, how about we go for a walk?!" He smiled. The pooch barked back in excitement, twirling around.

He put his jacket on, attached the leash onto Chiyo and they both headed out. He enjoyed these afternoon walks, he could just breath and take in everything around him as he strolled with his pet.

Chiyo was a calm dog, she was treated well and was raised in a loving home. She was obedient and behaved, however she had only one problem.

She wasn't reactive towards other dogs at all, except for a certain dog. A Doberman breed thrice as big as her, she barked and howled to get close to. The black dog also had some sort of desperation to get close to the tinier one, but neither of the two showed signs of aggression. It was more like they wanted to play.

Speaking of the devil, he passed by the same owner and dog once more that Chiyo would go wild for. Chiyo tugged hard, Koga struggled to pull her out. He didn't want to use too much force and hurt her.

"S-Sorry." He apologized.

"It's okay. I think they like eachother." The owner smiled. She was a female with (H/C) (Length) hair. They never really spoke to eachother, this was the first interaction they'd ever actually had.

"Chiyo-!"

Koga had accidentally let go of her leash. The small dog ran to greet the bigger one.

Surprisingly, the woman also willingly let go of the leash. He looked up to see her for the first time. Her hair always covered her face so he never could see her properly.

His cheeks flushed pink. She was the cutest girl he'd ever seen. Her smile made his heart flutter and her (E/C) eyes glimmered in the mid-day sunlight.

The two dogs were playing with eachother endlessly, not a single time had they shown aggressive behavior. His attention was snapped back to them when the girl had spoken up.

"It seems he doesn't want to stop." She said. Her voice was cool and blew a chill through him. Calm and soft.

He was speechless. He had to get her number! No way would he let this opportunity pass him by!

"E-Excuse me, do you want to go get some coffee?" He blurted out. He sort of said it in a rather casual way, forgetting that being formal and manners was a thing, he felt stupid and a bit fearful that she'd get mad at him.
