Chapter 1: The Meeting of Fates

Evelyn's footsteps echoed against the cobblestone streets as she wandered aimlessly, lost in the maze of her own thoughts. The weight of forgotten memories pressed upon her, an invisible burden that threatened to consume her very essence. She longed for answers, a lifeline to guide her out of the darkness.

It was then that she found herself drawn to the warmth and soft glow emanating from a quaint café nestled in a quiet corner. With a hesitant breath, she pushed open the door, the tinkling of a bell announcing her arrival. Her eyes scanned the room, seeking solace in the embrace of familiarity.

A figure sat alone at a corner table, his gaze fixed on a worn journal, as if the world around him ceased to exist. Evelyn approached cautiously, drawn to the enigmatic air that surrounded him. "May I join you?" she asked softly, her voice carrying a hint of vulnerability.

The man looked up, his stormy eyes meeting hers. A flicker of surprise crossed his face, quickly replaced by a guarded expression. "I suppose," he replied, his voice tinged with a mixture of curiosity and caution.

As Evelyn settled into the seat across from him, a silent understanding passed between them—an unspoken recognition that they were both seekers of truth in a world of secrets. "I'm Evelyn," she introduced herself, extending a hand.

He regarded her for a moment, his piercing gaze studying her intently. "Oliver," he finally replied, his voice carrying a hint of weariness.

"It might be weird to tell you this for I am a stranger to your mere perspective, but I have come to you because I need someone to fix a problem of mine that I've been wanting to fix" Evelyn

Behold the spectacle of one who nearly toppled the empire, now quivering in terror. That is not how Evelyn was supposed to be for she is the most powerful being there is. "What a sight, indeed" Oliver rolled his eyes and looked at her. "Tell me" he continued.

Evelyn's voice trembled slightly as she began to speak, her words laced with uncertainty. "These past few months after the incident I have been plagued by vivid dreams and fragmented memories. They feel so real as if they hold the key to something important. But they slip away like whispers fading into the wind. I need to understand what it meant. I seek your help."

Oliver leaned forward, his expression growing more earnest. "Lady Evelyn, I understand more than you know. I, too, have delved into the depths of the human mind, seeking answers to questions that haunt us. There are forces at play, hidden truths that can shape our lives in unimaginable ways. I can- NO, we can unlock the secrets that lie dormant within you. I will not do it for free of course you get what you want, I get what I want. Give and take darling that's how you survive this world"

Evelyn's eyes widened with a mixture of hope and trepidation. "But how? How do we begin? What do you seek for wealth, power, anything you like just please help me."

Oliver's voice lowered, carrying an air of determination. "Don't worry, I don't need those, What I need is information. If you agree. We start by unraveling the threads of your dreams and exploring the symbols and images that manifest in your subconscious. We delve into the forgotten corners of your memories, piecing together the fragments like a puzzle waiting to be solved. We seek the truth that has been buried, hidden away from your conscious mind."

Evelyn's hands trembled, her eyes reflecting a mix of anticipation and fear. "Will it be dangerous? What if I uncover something I can't handle? WHAT INFORMATION DO YOU SEEK FROM ME?!"

Oliver's voice softened, his gaze filled with compassion. "I won't lie to you, Evelyn. Your memories, that's it."

Evelyn was flabbergasted but still agreed.

"The journey we embark upon is not without risks. But I promise you this: I will be there every step of the way, guiding you through the darkness, and offering support and strength when you need it most. You are not alone in this." he continued
