Can I exceed the word count? We kindly ask all participants to adhere to the rules and not exceed the word limit.
Can I write my story in an existing collection or write all five chapters in one? No. For this contest we are asking you to create a standalone bookwith 5 chapters.
Can I use the prompt if I am not taking part in a contest? Of course, you can use the prompt even if you're not participating in the contest. And you don't have to give us credit.
Can I co-write a story with a friend? Yes, your story can be co-written. However, only one author can submit the story for the contest. In case of winning - only one story will be featured on the reading list.
Can I rewrite an existing story for this contest? No. We are not accepting existing stories, rewritten for this contest.
Can I edit my chapters after submitting the story? You can edit chapters only till the deadline of a particular stage of the contest. After that - changes are not allowed.
Do I have to take part in all challenges? No, you can participate in challenges of your choice. However, to have a chance to win the Grand Winner prize, you must complete minimum four chapters.
