Mabel's POV -As soon Noah hung up the phone i had began to frantically dig through my suitcase that i was yet to unpack.
What screamed sexy but casual?
I was only planning on meeting the man in town for a more in depth tour of his village, but I couldn't help but want to dress up for him. Should I show a little cleavage?
I had never felt so nervous meeting up with a man, not that I had done it regularly, maybe once or twice. Obviously it hadn't worked out.
I shook my head harshly at my own thoughts, i sounded ridiculous. I had only just met the guy and I was already sat overthinking what to wear around him.
Deciding I was going to down play my small crush, I pulled out a loose pair of grey joggers and a long sleeved white shirt, I slipped some long socks on as well as my cute pair of New Balance. There, simple yet casual, an absolute perfect way to show that I wasn't interested in dressing up for incredibly sexy men.
... That was until it was 5 minutes before I was set to leave the house, shit. I looked like I had just woke up! What the hell was I thinking?
'Dress casual', 'don't impress' so stupid!
Resisting the urge to bang my head against the wall, I quickly slipped the bobble from my hair and raked my fingers through the unruly curls, I sent up a silent prayer that I looked at least semi-decent.
Was it too late to get completely changed?
Another glance at the time stopped those thoughts rather quickly, shit I had no more time to wait around. I quickly dragged myself to the door and stood with my hand on the handle for a moment before huffing slightly under my breath and swung the door open with a little more force than necessary.
I cringed slightly as the door banged against the wall, I needed to calm down, lock up and go meet Noah.
I had finally reached the centre after a short walk down those hellish cobbled streets and perched myself on one of the small tables that were kept outside in the square. Noah was yet to arrive but after checking the time on my phone I realised that I was a tad early.
As I was flicking through my phone to eat up some time a large shadow from the side of me suddenly blocked out the cool sun rays. Confused I looked up not to meet Noah's eyes.
He smiled down at me, Noah was dressed in a tight black vest, his arms on display despite the cold weather and a pair of black joggers, he had some black Nikes on to complete the comfortable outfit.
Though we seemed to be wearing something similar to each other, I couldn't quite pull it off in the same effortless way he seemed to. Where Noah screamed 'runway model' I screamed 'just woke up'. Life was cruel sometimes.
My face flushed slightly in embarrassment which Noah picked up on straight away somehow.
"You look beautiful, Honey." Noah complimented, smile widening as the blush I sported dipped down to my collar.
Instead of giving a proper reply I mumbled a small thanks and stood to properly greet him.
"Hi Noah, thank you again for introducing me to your friends yesterday." I rocked back on my heels, not fully meeting his eyes. For some reason i always felt awkward when having to thank someone. "So, where are we going today?" I asked, fiddling with my fingers behind my back.
A smirk played on his lips and he slowly looked me up and down, quickly shaking his head he replied, "I want to show you around the place a bit better, hopefully introduce you to some more people."
