Size Doesn't Matter

For a human, Namjoon was relatively large. He had never been what one would consider characteristically small. Whenever he walked into a room he was easily one of the tallest people there, towering over all the other humans in the vicinity with not only his height but his stocky thick frame as well. This led to a lot of problems for him when it came to dating. He had his preferences and while he had tried to change them, after a while he couldn't 'fake it till he made it' anymore and would always end up breaking up with whoever he was dating at that time, simply because he would spiral into depression and crack. Namjoon was a bottom, but most of his partners wanted him to top.

It was these failed attempts at his dating life that led him to strictly dating non-humans.

Non-humans tended to like the fact that he was weaker than them, that despite his size they could easily overpower him and bend Namjoon to their will. This was all fine and dandy during his hookups, all of them not even questioning him being on the bottom. After a while though, he realized that that's all he was getting from these relationships. It was sex and only sex, and being a romantic at heart, Namjoon wanted more.

So he did the only reasonable thing a person in their mid-to-late twenties would do when trying to settle down: begged his friends to help set him up.

A few months passed by and just when he was starting to lose hope, Jackson pulled through and he was now meeting up with a giant named Jimin. They were to meet at an inclusive cafe in the heart of Seoul, a little hole in the wall that catered to all kinds, and he was nervous. Namjoon had never met a giant before, and he was having trouble processing the fact that for a change he was actually going to have to look up at someone instead of down. It wasn't a bad change though, just something that he wasn't used to.

Arriving five minutes early, Namjoon got them a table and looked at the menu as he waited. They had a lot of sweets, something that he thoroughly enjoyed, and as he lost himself to his thoughts of what he should get and if Jimin would judge him for wanting to not only get the mousse sampler (which was five different flavors) but a piece of cheesecake to share as well when a large shadow loomed over him, followed by a body in his peripheral.

Head shooting up, he saw the giant look down at him with a shy smile before he took a seat. Jimin was nothing that Namjoon had expected; he guesses part of him had conjured up images of old fairy tales from when he was younger, but the giant wasn't nearly as large as he expected. He had to duck his head and shoulders slightly against the ceiling, but he was roughly around eight and a half feet tall. Here he was thinking that the other would be far larger and wider, but then again, how would they have been able to have a date here if he couldn't fit...

Embarrassed about his assumption, he blushed furiously and avoided the other's eyes. Other than his impressive height, Jimin was also quite handsome. He had a lean build with sharp features and even sharper eyes. His hair was a pretty bubblegum pink, and he dressed to impress. A fluffy baby blue sweater covered his chest, dark ripped jeans covered his muscular legs, which were bulging from how he was having to sit in the chair the cafe had provided for him when he mentioned a giant would be joining him, and large jeweled rings covered his fingers. In a way, it made Namjoon feel self-conscious with his own state of dress. Having just thrown on a button-up and slacks, he felt he couldn't measure up to the giant. He even had his glasses on instead of his contacts, and now he felt like a nerd compared to this being in front of him.

Hopefully, Jimin would like his personality enough and forgive him for not dressing up too much.

"I take it you're Namjoon?" Jimin asked, his voice soft despite his size.

He smiled. "Yes, and you're Jimin?"

"I am." There was that smile again, the one he had given him when he was sitting down, and Namjoon became lost in it. "Thank you for agreeing to come on this date with me."
