Barty's PoV:

Darkness surrounding him, pulling him down harshly into the screaming and crying of voices so familiar to him it pains him to hear, hands grabbing at him,his legs arms shoulders, not letting him go,keeping him trapped in a cycle of horror, bright flashing motions, shapes darting around his vision, pictures of blood cascading up pale walls, a picture of a hand falling to the ground alongside its owners body, water pooling around the floor, sounds of someone screaming out for help drowned in the sound of gurgles and gusts of water, and then suddenly he's on a street, crumbling walls and screams of terror, he's speaking to someone, crying out their name before a bright green light floods his vision.

He jolts viciously wake, tears streaming down his face, skin sweating, chest rising and falling heavily, stuttering slightly, sheets sticking to him uncomfortably. He uses his arms to lift himself up into a sitting position, pulling the bed sheets off of him allowing the cold air from the windows to cool him down.eyes blinking rapidly to try and get the flashing images out of his head.

He pulls the curtains on his bed enough for them to fall open slightly, getting out of bed and walking over to the one that normally houses his bestfriend, he paused slightly, remembering what regulus had told him beforehand about staying out late to help Pandora in the green house, he pulled open the curtains anyway just to make sure, inside only proved his thoughts to be true, the light from the bedside table revealing untouched sheets that were still freshly tucked in from the morning,he lets the curtains fall back closed, a sense of small panic washing over him despite knowing where regulus actually was.

He looks around the dorm room, spotting a small light coming from the only other bed, the curtains casting small shadows down onto the wooden floor.
Bartys always suffered with nightmares, from a young age he had just accepted that the only way he would wake up would be through screams and tears, the nightmares got significantly less frequent during his time at hogwarts, but still pop up every now and again, normally he would get into bed with regulus, who would help calm him down and talk him through them, but regulus wasn't here right now, and he still needs someone to be close to.

Him and Evan were friends, quite good friends, they hang out in the same group of people, talk quite often, are basically tied to the hip, they sit next to eachother in every class, help eachother with homework, always make sure they're sat next to eachother in the great hall, they're good friends, and that's the problem, just friends, just like the nightmares, barty has also learnt to just accept that fact, although it doesn't mean that a small part of him doesn't still crave just that bit more. He's never gone to Evan about a nightmare, it would cross a line barty had drew years ago to keep himself and his feelings safe, but right now he was desperate enough to use a metaphorical rubber and erase a part of that line, walking slowly over to evans bed, stopping just infront of the closed curtains.
"Evan?.." it came out in a croaky and uncertain tone.

Evan's PoV-

Normally asoon as the lights in the common room go out he would be the first one asleep, not caring to join into the small conversations between barty and regulus, although that doesn't mean he doesn't lay quietly surrounded in all consuming darkness listening into whatever barty had decided he deemed important enough to bring up, his small laughs normally sending Evan sleep, but tonight there was nothing to listen to, no soft murmurs, quite laughs or loud exclamations or yells of excitement, just pure silence, he walked into the dorm room finding bartys curtains already drawn closed, regulus off doing something, any small movement echoing, seeming much louder than what it actually was, the sound of people down in the common room carrying up the long twisted stair case and into their dorm.
