Harry: Last one of the day, thank goodness. You had been stuck in this dark room for the last five hours; the only breaks coming between interviewer exchanges. But after sitting through twenty or so interviews, listening to the same questions being asked over and over again, you were ready to crack. You couldn't even imagine how the boys felt. Harry would tell you it's just a part of the job, but what a painstakingly boring part of the job it must be. You sit on a chair, away from the cameras, scrolling through your schedules to confirm once more that the day was coming to an end. "Hey (Y/N)," you hear and look up from the bright screen. You are met with Harry's bright smile. "Do you think you can get some tickets for these ladies to our Buffalo show next year?" You glare at him. He knew how hard it was for you to rummage up tickets after they had already gone on sale. He continues to smile, and you just roll your eyes. "Yeah, I'll see what I can do." You get up from your spot in the corner, scrolling through your contacts to find the LiveNation staff member you had to call at least three times a week these days. "She's great at negotiation, she will find you some," Harry insists, to the ladies that had just told him and the boys how massively in love with them their daughters' were. "How many do you need?" You question, poking your head back into the room. "Six," Harry answers, not bothering to ask the women, giving them two extras for tagalongs. You sigh and close the door again. The other boys get up to mull around the room, their day officially over. Harry still remains on the couch though, not wanting to leave the women awkwardly sitting there while the rest of the boys slowly exit the room. "Is she in charge of you all?" One of them questions about you. "Like human resources?" Harry can only laugh. "No, just me. She's my assistant. I think I get on her nerves to be honest," he teases but actually half serious. It was always hard to tell with him. "Oh I'm sure that's not the case," the other counters. "You're a lovely young man. I'm sure you don't ask much of her anyways. You seem to do a lot of things on your own." "I wish I could say that I did, but in all honesty, it's all her. All she has to do is learn how to do hair and she would be the only reason I'm even functioning." The women laugh, shaking their heads. "That can't be true, you seem so independent." "Well there's nothing wrong with a little help, especially when it's coming from someone as great as she is," he explains, turning to look at you as you walk back into the room." You walk past the cameras and over to him once you see the rest of the boys have cleared out. "Okay, I've got six on the floor, in section A. It will be crowded but they're the best seats in the stadium. There is also three and three in the seats next to the stage, first row in section 110. It's your choice." They had no idea what you had just gone through to get these options. People were going to have to be moved, contest winners were going to have to sit elsewhere, you were creating chaos with this request. The women looked at Harry, unsure of where they should sit. "Go for the floor, it's a lot more fun down there," he assures them and you get back on the phone to confirm the seats. The women get up from their spots on the couch, hugging and thanking Harry for everything. "Thank you," they say to you as you stand by the door, placing your phone in your pocket, not wanting to deal with it anymore today. "My pleasure," you return with a smile. Once they are out of the room you turn to him. "Six tickets," you begin and he just laughs. "I'm sorry, they were just so nice," he says trying to explain himself. He walks over to you, his arms snaking around your waist, pulling you into him. "Thank you." "Yeah, yeah," you joke, not being able to hide your smile. "You're too good to me," he admits, pressing a kiss to your forehead. "Yeah, unfortunately, it's just my job." His mouth opens and his brow furrows at your honesty. "I would say I'm just kidding, but that would be a lie," you tease, kissing him before taking his hand as the two of you are finally able to leave for the day.
Liam: Elevators will never not freak you out when you're the only person riding in one. You lean up against the mirrored wall as you make the journey to the lobby of the complex. It wasn't early, but you hadn't bothered to change out of your pajamas yet. You had thrown one of Liam's sweatshirts on so you didn't have to wear a bra; the ultimate lazy day. The lift chimes and the door opens revealing an empty lobby. Thank goodness, the least amount of people seeing you like this the better. Of course the people at the front desk knew the real you, the sweat pants, messy hair you, but you would much rather keep the other tenants thinking you were put together all of the time. "Mail time?" The man on the other side of the desk inquires with a smile, recognizing your look. "Yes, please," you nod, handing him the key and leaning on desk as he walks back to the mail room. "Jeez," you comment as he emerges with the large orange envelope, it was thicker than usual. "Must be time to pay the bills." "I know what that's like," he says as he hands over your mail. "Thank you." "No problem, have a great day." You head back up to the flat, ready to rummage through everything you had just been handed. Liam had once employed people to do this for him, pay his bills that is. But ever since you moved in, you took over the task, citing that it gave you enough responsibility to keep your parents off your case about not acting like an adult. You head straight to the office, opening up the laptop, crossing your legs to sit on them in the chair. You were prepared. Liam had left to do more promo today for the new album, so he wouldn't be pestering you every ten minutes to quit acting like such a grown up. You open up the envelope and pull out the contents. It was definitely a bill day. You were lucky in the fact that while most people had to pay separately for gas, water, and air, your's and Liam's were all included in the rent that is paid every month. Definitely a perk of living in a flat and not a house. However, there was much more than that needing to be paid today by the looks of all of the white envelopes covering your desk. You log on to Liam's banking account to track the deductions you are about to make, something he would had never done if he were the one to take care of this himself. You then open up the complex's billing site, ready to get this month's utilities paid off. You would never understand how someone could pay over a million pounds for a place to live and still have more to pay every month. But it wasn't your money, nor your decision. You just made sure those payments happened. You read the invoice you had gotten from the complex before submitting the payment, making absolutely sure the numbers lined up. As you sit the invoice to the side, ready to move on to the next, your phone rings. "Hi," you answer cheerfully, putting the call on speaker as you open up the cable and internet bill. "What are you into?" Liam asks, the background noise over the line was slowly fading. "Oh you know, just being a grown up and paying the bills." He laughs. "I still don't know why you do that, my accountant was doing a fine job." "Well I'm the accountant now. Once a month I get to know what it's like to live in the real world. It's nice. But once a month is definitely all I can handle." "Yeah, don't get too friendly with the real world. I can't have you going boring on me." "I will never be boring, what are you talking about?" You tease as you chew on a pen lid while you check more numbers. "Well I just wanted to check in and see what you were up to. I should be home on Sunday." "Alright, I'll be sure to have everyone cleared out by then," you joke as you fill in the numbers on the next website. You had always teased him for calling and checking in so much, saying he sometimes acts like you let strangers mull around in the flat when he's gone. "Yeah, yeah, I love you, talk to you later." "Alright. I love you!" You say happily as you hang up and continue your short stint at adult living.
