This was the second time Amon had captured her after her escape 3 months ago. However, Amon did not seem to remember what he had done to her.
Korra was sitting in her poor lit cell as a guard opened the door. "Come, Amon wishes to speak with you" The guard didn't wait for a respond, he just grabbed her upper arm and pulled her down the hallway. At the end of the hallway came three different ways. They turned right and continued down another hallway, which was not nearly as narrow as the first one. The floor was cold under her bare feet, but the temperature was a bit more comfortable here.
Suddenly, they stopped in front of a wooden door. The tall man knocked twice.
"The Avatar is here, sir," He said, awaiting allowance to enter.
"Come in," Amon's voice from the other side of the door said. Korra felt her body tense and her anger boil, just by hearing his voice. "That bastard!" Korra yelled in her head.
The door was opened, and Korra was dragged inside, then pushed toward the desk, where a certain man with a certain porcelain mask was sitting, his hands folded expectantly on the wooden surface in front of him.
"Good morning, Avatar," said the man behind the mask, sounding awfully friendly. The door behind her was then shut. "Please, take a seat." He referring to the chair in front of him. His hospitality, whether real or fake, it confused her. But she was not to be fooled.
"Amon," Korra hissed hatefully and had to resist the urge to run toward the man. Oh, how she wanted him to see him bleed. But in her state she could not even harm him the slightest, and she knew it. Her only weapon was now words. She chose to sit, for now.
"Have you slept well?" continued the man still sounding too friendly, annoying Korra with his irrelevant chatter. Korra frowned even deeper.
"Shut up, Amon," growled the girl, still tempted to hurt the man before her. "Tell me; what have you done to me!?" The painted smile met her eyes, provoking her even more. Amon chuckled lightly and leaned back in his chair.
"Relax, Avatar," he said casually. "The effect is only temporary." Korra's blue eyes narrowed.
"How do I know you are not lying?" she asked, her voice thick of anger. Amon shrugged.
"You'll just have to trust me on that" Amon said as Korea felt her blood boil. "I demand that you tell me what you are going to do with me! Since i still habe my bending!" Korra yelled. Amon leaned back in his chair, amused of how angry Korra was. "Patience young Avatar, you'll find out in time" He said.
Korra then remembered something that could help her. "You're a bender" A sly grin appeared on her face, while Amon narrowed his eyes. "What do you think, your guards will say when they find out?" Korra said, hoping to annoy him. "Tell them what you want,
They won't believe you one bit" He said, annoying her. She knew he was right.Amon stood up, shocking Korra with his sudden movement. He went to her, crouched down to her level, and grabbed her chin roughly with his bare hand, forcing her to look into his his eyes as he tightened the grip. Korra tried to yank out of his painful hold, to avoid his cold eyes, but his strength surpassed hers by far in her current state. He stared at her with those dark and ice cold, blue eyes hidden behind that porcelain mask of his.
"I will never ever bend before my own people, so do not even try to make me. You will fail. I have many other ways of defeating you if you try anything." A shiver ran up Korra's spine. Amon's painful touch, his unfaltering stare. She was once again reminded why she hated and feared this man so much. His effect on her was unlike anything she had ever experienced, except toward Tarrlok, whom she only felt hate for. A strong hate, much bigger than her hate for Amon. However, deep inside Korra... was a feeling she would rather not think of, a stange feeling, she shouldn't be having for the man before her. It was... Love...
Korra watched as Amon returned to his seat.
"Which leads me to something else, although just as important," the mask suddenly began, as he pressed the tips of his fingers together in front of him. "As long you stay here, I wish for you to behave. This way, it will be more pleasant for me and also for you. If you behave to my liking, you might even be rewarded. But mark my words, Avatar; if you cause trouble, you will be punished."
A annoyed and angry appearance appeared on Korra's tanned face. "Shit, if he keeps treating me like a child; praised if behaving, scolded if not, I'm going to get really angry!". Korra thought, she would be sure to show Amon just how willing she was to obeying him. She stood up, triggering the same action from Amon.
"You are in no position to tell me what to do and what not to do," she hissed defiantly, noticing how those blue eyes narrowed behind their porcelain prison.
"You will do as told, or face the consequences," almost growled the man back at her. "Ah, I can piss him off. How delightful". She thought with that sly smirk again. If her intentions were visible on her features, even for a moment, he ignored it, for in the next second Korra let her arm glide over the surface of his desk, shoving stacks of paper, pens, notes, and one particularly lamp, down, letting it all fall to the floor. And the lamp broke into small pieces. Korra's eyes never left Amon's in the process, seeing as his narrowed in danger.
For a moment, Korra was unsure if he was even going to react or not. Then, quickly, he was on her, grabbing her throat and forcing her upper body down upon his now-cleared desk with such force that Korra felt dizzy the moment, the back of her head hit the table and began throbbing.
"Do not push your luck, Avatar, and do NOT mess with me" He hissed angry above her. "I am giving you a chance to earn yourself liberties that could make your time here less horrible, maybe even somewhat enjoyable. This be my last warning before things get serious. One more of such action, and you will regret ever setting a foot in that temple. Understood?" Gasping for air, Korra felt forced to nod. But Amon's words did not affect her as much as he hoped, he didn't want to cause her pain, but she was asking for it with her actions. However, he needed her alive, and as a bender. What kind of punishment could he possibly let her go through that would not harm either of those?
Korra didn't feel to scared about his so called "punishment" and "Consequences".
Korra was released, and she inhaled greedy portions of air into her chest. Still panting, she smiled cockily. "Who do he think he is, to command me around like this?" Korra thought as a new plan camd to her mind, one that would piss him even more off.
"Amon?" she said, causing him to turn to her again after his attempt to return to his seat. Just as his face had turned enough, Korra spat him right between his two eye openings.
Korra had thought it was the right thing for her to do, to signalize that she would not budge under his words. But as Amon once again pressed her down onto the desk, even more painfully then the first time. His entire body was covering Korra's, she was not so sure anymore. This time he said nothing; the look in his eyes spoke for itself.
Korra gasped in surprise when the man pressed a certain point on her shoulder that left her body numb and lifeless. Her eyes widened. "Such a dirty trick!" Korra's yelled in her mind.
