Duck, Duck, Goose

Ch 1

Selena POV

I walked into the line. It was selection day in our office. You could call it among us in real life. This game is called 'Duck Duck Goose'. Whoever got 'Duck' would find a list of tasks in their envelope. Whoever got 'Goose' would find a fake list of tasks, a knife, and a tool to vent. Everyone got a reporting tool. 

All of them, I could tell by their faces were getting 'Duck'. Cassie was in front of me. It was her turn. She was shivering with fear as she opened her envelope. She sighed with relief. I walked up and grabbed my envelope. I opened it knowing I was gonna get 'Duck'. There was one word written in my envelope 'Goose'.

 I almost stiffened up but I pulled myself together and sighed putting my envelope in my pocket and walked towards security, and once I made sure there was no one else there I pulled my envelope out of my pocket and opened it once more. In it another sentence was now written 'Your partner is - Samantha', along with that there was a knife, a fake list of tasks, and a tool to vent but there was also a cloak, that had all everyone except mine and Sam's name on it. "Sam? She's my partner? And wtf is this cloak" I said to myself. I can't believe how horrible my luck is! I do know that I was last in line so the speaker will announce the lines it always does.

 A high pitch came from the speaker as I put my things and envelope in my pocket."Welcome to this year's game of Duck Duck Goose! This year marks 50 years of this game so we have added something new! One of the two geese will have the ability to look exactly like someone else. Let the games begin!" another high pitch and the speaker went silent.

 So that's what the cloak thing is. I can frame someone. I know exactly who I'm gonna frame. It's time we give a certain employee a taste of their own medicine. "You better watch out Kyle, I'm coming for you" I said to myself like a maniac. 

I then walked back into the cafeteria expecting pure chaos and that was exactly what I was met with. "Selena, where were you? Did you hear? Oh my god!!" Cassie basically jumped on me. I usually had the job of calming people down so that's what I did. "I was in security, and yes I heard, it's horrible but you know us, we always figure something out so calm down!" I said. Cassie took a deep breath. "Your right, panicking won't do anything. Im gonna go do my tasks!" she decided. 

'Yeah okay" I said as Sam dragged me away "Are you the shapeshifter?" she asked urgently "Yes and don't kill Kyle I'll be transforming into him" I explained. She nodded, she knew how horrible of a person Kyle was too. All I knew was that this is gonna be a long game...
