On the ride home, Chelsea sat in the back, leaning her head on Finn's shoulder, his arm around her, resting his chin on her head as they both slowly fell asleep.
Arthur looked over his shoulder into the backseat and smiled at the sight of the two Shelby kids, "They're good kids ain't they, John boy."
John, who was sat beside the two kids smiled and stroked Chelsea's long locks, "Nah, they're little shits."
"What the fuck." Tommy said, his voice croaky.
Arthur and John both looked away from the kids and looked out the windows, viewing the wreckage that had now appeared on the streets of Small Heath.
The two Shelby kids had woken up now and also looked outside, sofas were scattered across the floor in pieces, furniture was ruined and chucked in muddy puddles, prized possessions were lying in the middle of the streets, the houses looked like they had been raided or robbed.
"Now what the bloody hells been going on here?" Arthur asked.
"Dad." Chelsea whispered, seeing the horrified look on the citizens faces, "Daddy, what's happened?"
"I'm not sure, Princess." Tommy said, he began to drive again, rolling slowly down the street, "Jesus Christ."
When they got home, Chelsea and Finn ran into the kitchen to make sure Polly was alright, and after lots of questions and hugs, they were convinced she hadn't been harmed.
"The coppers told everyone Arthur'd agreed to it when he was arrested." Polly said, Chelsea noticing the strict tone that her nan was using, "They said the Peaky Blinders had cleared out the fair to let them do it."
Chelsea grabbed jugs and filled them up with beer that was sitting in a bucket before her, handing it out to the six people in the room.
"Now, I never said nothing to that copper about smashing up bloody houses." Arthur spoke after taking his first sip of the icy cold drink.
"All right." Tommy sighed, "Which pubs did they do?"
"The Guns, The Chain, The Marquis. All the ones that pay you to protect them. Only one they didn't touch was The Garrison."
"Thank God!" Chelsea shouted out, "That means Grace is okay!"
"Make sure people think we were in on it." Polly said after smiling sweetly at Chelsea, "He's smart, this copper. So go on. Drink your beers, get out. You better show people you are still the cocks of the walk."
The two other Peaky Blinders left leaving only the Shelby family gathered around the table.
"Hand out some cash to the landlords of the pubs!" Tommy shouted as the men found their way to the front door, "Pay some veterans to fix the places up!"
John followed behind them as Arthur slowly gathered up his things, "So, what about you, Tommy?"
"I have to go to Charlie's to stable the horse. She looked footsore in the box."
"I'm coming!" Chelsea said, jumping up and down, "Please!"
"If it cheers you up." Tommy said, lighting his cigarette, "Go on, change your clothes. I'll get you when I'm ready to go."
"Go on, darling." Polly said, she placed her hands on Chelsea's shoulders and slowly guided her out of the kitchen, "Don't put any of your nice clothes on."
"I thought all my clothes were nice." Chelsea muttered under her breath but after receiving a death glare from Polly she immediately took off up the stairs.
Polly shut the door behind her and took a seat, Tommy standing up right before her, "So we both know what they were looking for. You don't read the papers."
