it was time to confess. andre later met up with his secret admirer, under a cute little tree in the shadows at a local park. it was very warm outside so they didn't want to hang out in the sun. sijun became very nervous, fiddling with his fingers.
"so, sijun. do you want to tell me now?" Andre calmly inquired as he could tell sijun was worried
"uhm.. well i.. so-- ..." sijun started to stutter anxiously
just as sijun got comfortable, they saw ercole strutting a catwalk over to them
"god dammit.." sijun sighed
"hey you fking unholy fruits, what are you guys doing? about to make out?!" ercole burst out laughing, sijun and Andre just stared at him, gave each other a quick glance, and then went back to staring. sijun looked down, embarrassed
"bro.. fk off" andre forced a chuckle to make it sound less agressive. he didnt actually mean to say that out loud
"excuse me?" ercole rapidly answered
andre sighed and looked at sijun "nothing.. it was a joke"
"whatever..."
the three stood there in silence. the air was humid and too warm
"im... going to leave..." sijun sighed. he was so disappointed he didnt get to say what was on his mind, but at the same time, relieved
"sijun--..." andre groaned depresingly
now there were only two people left, andre and ercole
"so ar--"
"im going to leave too. goodbye." andre interrupted ercole quickly, and left even quicker. ercole was left alone
as sijun was walking back to his home, tears forming in his eyes, he heard andre running over to him
"ugh! ercole is just so obnoxious- i wish he would just leave us alone... but im sorry we ran into him. if you still want to talk about what you wanted to earlier... im free almost anytime..!" andre said immediately, but realised sijun tearing up after he tried to look away for andre not to see "hey, are you ok?"
sijun didnt answer. andre understood that sijun wanted silence qt the moment, so for a bit they walked together without saying anything. eventually they reached andres house
"well... ill see you again on monday..! text me soon" andre faked a happy tone, but just like sijun he was down too. that was their alone time when sijun could finally talk about his feelings, though andre wouldnt know. it bothered andre that he never got to hear out his dear friend
"yep... bye.." sijun had been dreading the time to confess, but now he wish he could have. it ruined his whole day, and the rest of the week. but at the same time, he felt like he could back out now while he can.
sijuns walk home felt slowed down then usual. he felt hurt. but now that he could back out, he started thinking. once he reached his home he had come to the decision for his conclusion. he wiped off his tears and a soft smile grew
"i wont... give up" sijun whispered to himself
